MINÁŘOVÁ, Kristýna. Advantages and disadvantages of abolishing cash in the Czech Republic: Bachelor Thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2017. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the potential benefits and costs of abolishing cash in the Czech Republic. The literary research briefly describes the development and nature of money with a focus on noncash payments. The following is a comparison of the cash and noncash situation in the Czech Republic and the Scandinavian countries, which are the closest cashless economy. The advantages and disadvantages of the cashless society are evaluated from the view of the three main interest groups - from the point of view of the state, the consu-mer represented by the households and the banking sector. Major analyzes include the elimination of gray economy, the security of noncash payments and the efficiency of the transmission mechanism of interest rates in the non-cash economy.

Credit cards - advantage and disadvantages

This work deals not only with the history of payment cards but also with their current development, fundamental concepts, appropriateness of the payment cards, their classification, security and protection. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse advantages and disadvantages of credit cards. The practical part focuses on the comparison of banks´ offers. The questionnaire surveys whether the users of payment cards become conscious of the difference between credit and debit cards and if they actually know which card they own. The questionnaire also tries to find out how often and why the users use payment cards. The further point is the survey of the main advantages and disadvantages of credit cards. This thesis concerns of the development of the amount of payment, the extent of transaction and the amount of the average sum per one payment. In the end of practical part is compared offer of credit cards from different providers.

Innovation in commerce

The diploma thesis "Innovation in Commerce" provides an analysis of the development and usage of up-to-day innovative technologies in trade sphere both in our country and abroad. It maps their forms and scope of usage in selected trade units, primarily focusing on modern payment instruments and self-service cash desks and, further on, also from the point of view of their development and usage in the nearest future. The thesis gives an independent solution of using up-to-date payment instruments and self-service cash desks depending on the customer´s age as well as payment forms (cash, non-cash) from z point of view of differences between "rural" and urban population. The thesis includes a proposal for the implementation of two arising up-to-date technologies - self-scanning and iBeacon technology in the Terno Supermarket in České Budějovce.
