Využití pšenice s purpurovým perikarpem ve výživě brojlerových kuřat
Psohlavcová, Tereza
This diploma thesis deals with utilization of colored grain of wheat with purple pericarp in broiler chicken nutrition Ross 308. The aim of this work was to evaluate the influence of feeding with wheat RU 687-12 with purple pericarp and higher content of anthocyanins on parameters of yield of fed broilers and their metabolism assessed on the basis of biochemical examination of their blood. The experiment was carried out on 240 broiler chicken cockerels divided into 2 groups (control and experimental) of 120 pieces. The chickens of each group were divided into separate bins of 20 pieces (6 reps). The first group - experimental - was fed with a feed mixture with a 60% share of colored wheat RU 687-12. The control group was fed with a feed mixture containing the same share of common wheat Bohemia. The experiment lasted from the 12th to the 39th day of the age of the chickens. During the experiment, the chickens were weighed weekly and feed consumption was monitored in individual bins. While slaughtered at the end of the experiment, the blood of 2 random chickens was taken for biochemical examination (12 chickens per each group). All the chickens were processed after the slaughter, the weight of a processed body found out, and a portion of breast and femoral muscles set within a part of chickens. Based on statistical processing and comparison of the results, a significant difference is some parameters of mineral metabolism was found out (in the concentration of magnesium, iron, glutathione peroxidase activity) and in the blood glucose concentration. In the feed consumption parameters, weight gains, feed conversion and yield parameters, no conclusive differences were found out. Blending wheat with colored pericarp into feed mix (instead of common wheat) had neither positive nor negative substantial effect on the yield or metabolism of the fed broiler chickens.

The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the inclusion of wheat with purple pericarp into feed mixture of laying hens in the first phase of the laying period to 38. weeks of age. It was examined whether wheat with a higher content of anthocyanins positively or negatively affects the performance parameters of laying hens and quality of eggs. In the research we used a total of 30 laying hens of hybrid combination Isa Brown at the beginning of the laying cycle from 19. weeks of age. Laying hens were divided into two groups. The feed mixture of laying hens of the experimental group included wheat with purple pericarp RU 687-12 with a higher content of anthocyanins. For the feeding of the control group was used the feed mixture, which contained the ordinary wheat variety Bohemia with a low content of anthocyanins. In the framework of the experiment was monitored egg-laying, food consumption and was assessed the quality of the eggs. The obtained data were statistically evaluated and the results of the experiment show that the control group evinced significantly (P<0,05) higher egg laying. Moreover, there was also statistically proven (P<0,05) higher feed consumption per hen and day. Research of the qualitative analysis of the eggs shows that control group had statistically conclusive (P<0,05) higher weight of eggs. The lenght of the egg was (P<0,05) in the control group. All other monitored parameters were statistically inconclusive. The results of the conducted experiment show that wheat RU 687-12 with a higher content of anthocyanins is not recommended to use in compound feed for laying hens at the beginning of the laying cycle, as it negatively affects their utility property and the eggs quality.

The aim of this diploma thesis was to process a literature review that was focused on usage of non-traditional cereals and feed produced from plants for carps common raising (Cyprinus carpio L.). Afterwards two feeding tests were applied. These two tests were accomplished in recirculation system in Fish and hydrology department in Brno. The first feeding test was conducted from 15.5.2014 until 16.6.2014 and carp common (Cyprinus carpio L), linie of Amur mirror carp were tested. Colored wheat was compared with common wheat in the test, while different forms of adjustments were applied on cereals. Particularly, crushing and steeping. Afterwards, these components were given to the fish. Colored wheat was from Koniny variety, contained 16,6 % of nitrogen. The second feeding test was conducted from 9.3.2015 until 6.4.2015 and the same fish were applied for the testing. Three varieties of feeds were used in the test. The first variety was a feeding mixture with 5 % of cannabis moldings. The second composed 15 % of cannabis moldings and the third was a complete feeding mixture. All the fish were weighted in the beginning and in the end. In the morning and in the night the hydro-chemical parameters of water were followed. Subsequently, after the finishing the tests the production indicators (FCR, SWGR, SLGR) were evaluated based on chemical analysis of cells in fish and in the feedings. In the first test the best results were interpreted by Var.2 (colored and steeped wheat) FCR= 10,86, SWGR= 0,209 %.d-1, SLGR= 0,094%.d-1. In the second test the best results were interpreted by (15 % of cannabis moldings) FCR= 3,27, SWGR= 0,54 %.d-1, SLGR= 0,23 %.d-1.
