Stabilization of the flooded sand pit near Hulín

The diploma thesis assesses the current state of the Hulín gravel and sand plant and pays attention to abrasions of severely damaged banks of the reservoir. With the help of the design of a suitable biotechnical stabilization, the receding of the shoreline in the section of interest will be prevented. The basis for the processing of appropriate bank stabilization proposals is the results achieved using a method of determining shore retreat. The individual developed variants of the bank remediation solution emphasize the use of vegetation support, especially suitable bank stands to ensure the stability of the banks and protection against abrasion.

Hodnocení stavu břehových porostů toku Libochůvka včetně návrhu optimalizace jeho pramenné části

The thesis is focused on the problematics of stream-bank vegetation and it’s devided into two parts. First, analytic part, is focused on evaluating the condition of the stream-bank vegetation of Libochůvka river. Author defines methodology of its evaluation which is afterwards applied in field study. The result of analytic part is evaluation of actual condition of stream-bank vegetation and proposal the solution of identified problems. Second part, project part, is focused on proposing of specific solutions for the river section from 37,5 to 37,9 river km, which was identify as the worst one. This part is processed as complete project documentation, which was evolved in cooperation with river manager Lesy ČR, s. p.

Návrh rekonstrukce doprovodné vegetace vodního toku

This diploma thesis describes the project of watercourse bank vegetation restoration. It is also focused on the recreation potential of the watercourse. Introductory chapters are dealing with general issues of watercourses, bank vegetation, abrasion protection and related legislation. As a sample river for the purpose of the research was selected the small river "Lutoninka", flowing through the Zádveřice village, situated near Zlín. For this particular watercourse was worked out the project of vegetation factors reconstruction. The project is accompanied by a proposal that takes into account landscaped and recreational potential of the area.

The thesis summarizes the available information describing the selected section of the Jihlava River between the villages of Dolní Smrčné from river's kilometre 121,847 to 126,399. The primary focus is on natural conditions, history of the water flow, the development of river water quality in recent decades and the flood situation. Finally the thesis describes the current state of the watercourse, riparian vegetation, buildings in the watercourse and its surroundings. The thesis also includes a brief proposal of measures to improve the current state of the area.
