Possibilities of physiotherapy for patients with Morbus Perthes
COUFOVÁ, Jana
This bachelor thesis discusses the issue of Morbus Perthes in patients after conservative treatment for this disease. It seeks to describe the issue of morbus Perthes, along with the possibilities of using physiotherapy. Within physiotherapy, there are many possibilities that we can use in the physiotherapy treatment of this disease. The subject of bachelor's thesis approached me because of a personal encounter with the condition and knowledge of its consequences. While it is referred to as a disease of the hip joint, I have found that the effects of Perthes disease are far more whole than you might assume. On its own,Perthes disease is a disease of the hip joint, but because of either the surgery or the long immobilisation of a child-age patient, the disease takes on an additional dimension. The theoretical section focuses on the anatomical description of the hip joint and its surrounding structures. It also focuses on Perthes disease, the possible causes of the disease, its description and characteristics. The patient's treatment options and physiotherapy options are described here. The practical part is conducted in the form of qualitative research, a case study in two probands diagnosed with Perthes morbus in childhood treated with the conservative procedure. Each patient was given an input and output kinesiological analysis, which includes medical history, inspection, anthropometry, goniometry, indicative examination of muscle strength, shortened muscles and weakened muscles. The whole research took place over a period of 4 weeks. Based on a comparison of kinesiological analyses for each probando, a positive effect of therapy could be observed and further recommended continued therapy and other exercise and regenerative activities.
