Sedláková, Soňa ; Riedlbauch, Václav (advisor) ; Boukal, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the organization of open space festivals. The first part focuses on theoretical assumptions and different areas, which are in question when organizing this type of cultural events. After reviewing the literature it is mostly project management, law, marketing and human resources. The next section analyzes the possibilities of financing of organizations that do business or are in other way active in the cultural field, here we discusses the breakdown of these resources and the specifics of each type. Some of the specifics are defined by the legal form of festival organizers; these are given a separate chapter. In the practical part, my thesis evaluates the situation of a particular festival. The basis for the conclusions is drawn as a comparison of the current situation with the author's theoretical model. Part of the work and another mean used to obtain the necessary information is an online questionnaire which is included in the last chapter of the thesis.

Pořádek, Jiří ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This thesis dealing with copyright law of the Czech Republic and its reflection in practice is divided into two imaginary parts. The first part introduces the copyright as a part of the intellectual property rights in general, puts Czech copyright law - Act No. 121/2000 on Copyright and Rights Related to Copyright and an Amendment to Certain Acts (the Copyright Act) as amended by latest acts - into the context of history and international law and then describes copyright law relation to business informatics. Also it analyses the text of the mentioned Copyright Act. The second part is about three selected problem situations. It proposes a potential solution to their problems on copyrights base which are in accordance with the Czech Copyright Act and other related legislation. Each of them is described and then are discussed various important aspects of this situation that may affect its copyright essence. Various legal options which determine the final solution are then derived from the aspects. The first problem relate to the issue of co-authorship of a computer program, the second to the creation of digital libraries, and finally the third to creation of websites.
Copyright in the digital age
Kuželka, Kryštof ; Pavlíček, Antonín (advisor) ; Smutný, Zdeněk (referee)
This work is devoted to analysis of the purposes of copyright using analysis of copyright history, current and proposed legal acts and recent lawsuits. It shows that one of the purposes, the one that is mostly the subject of the lawsuits, is the entertainment industry's effort to restrict copying and sharing of digital works to the public. The last part of the thesis offers a solution. The first part analyzes the very concept of copyright, what are the grounds of its protection, and what has changed with the start of the digital age. In the next section there is description and summary of the world's two most important legal acts in the area of copyright protection -- DMCA, representing an act that is in force and ACTA, representing a proposed act. Next section shows the impact of those acts using recent lawsuits divided according to their substance. This section is also showing unjustifiability of some purposes of the copyright protection, especially protection of the right to copy and share. The last part of this thesis introduces a model, which is using the Creative Commons and crowdfunding, and an application that would allow the public to share and copy digital works without limitations while ensuring remuneration to authors.

Publishing Grey Literature in On-Line Repositories (Copyright Law Perspective)
Šavelka, Jaromír ; Koščík, Michal
The aim of the paper is to provide easy-to-follow guidelines to determine if a document can be published in an on-line repository. It is suggested that the process of evaluation can be formalized to such a degree that the process would be carried out by a non-lawyer. There is a group of rather trivial properties that should decide to which regime the work should be assigned. The presentation outlines the basic principles of the evaluative process which is represented by a tree-like structured set of simple questions. Thus, the presentation generally assesses which properties should a work have in order to be eligible for being made available by a means of an online repository.
