Trůblová, Pavla ; Druláková, Radka (advisor) ; Dubský, Zbyněk (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the topic of the French and EU asylum policies and their reciprocal influence. The main goal of this thesis consists in demonstrating (if applicable) France's success in enforcing its legislation at the European level, or if it is rather the opposite phenomenon that prevails: the necessity of the implementation of asylum rules (that have been approved in the EU) to the French regulations. The whole thesis is grounded on the concept of Europeanization which determines a theoretical framework that serves as a basis for the empirical part, consisting of an analysis of the development of French and common European asylum legislation first. The crucial part of this thesis is the fourth chapter where the interconnection between the theoretical and empirical part takes place as well as the discovery of the link between the French and European asylum legislation and drawing of consequences that respond to initial propositions.
Asylum policy of Germany (FGR) since reunification
Rynešová, Lenka ; Šauer, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Dubský, Zbyněk (referee)
Germany was, is and will be an immigration country. We talk about an asylum policy since the reunification of Germany in 1990. Germany needed immigrants during the whole 21st century, on the other hand struggled with fear of their negative impacts on the economy and society. One hundred and thirty years since the recruitment of seasonal workers from abroad in the German Empire and 50 years from the recruitment of Turkish guest workers undoubtedly indicates a good (and necessary) time to create a more effective immigration and asylum policy. The integration of foreigners, especially Turks, is nowadays the main goal. As the social climate of German society has never been characterized by diversity, the main task of current German government is to create an opened German society towards foreigners and their integration.
Italian Immigration and asylum policy
Cihlářová, Renata ; Druláková, Radka (advisor) ; Zemanová, Štěpánka (referee)
Italian immigration policy is a sensitive topic on the Italian as well as on the European political scene. Due to its geographical location Italy is exposed to an enormous influx of immigrants coming to the country mainly from North Africa. Being a country that faces the immigration issue in the last decades and and has a relatively young legislation in this area Italy is often criticized for its awkward anti-immigration measures. Italian society has generally a negative attitude concerning the immigration issue that is often supported by the opinions of Italian politicians and the strict legislation. My thesis analyzes the development and the current situation of the Italian immigration and asylum policy and the weightiest problems that Italy faces. The thesis describes the situation of immigrants in Italy, development of legislation in the area and the most controversial point of the last law on immigration. Next the treating of immigrants by the state authorities and the integration policy is discussed. The last chapter focuses on the Italian policy connected with the European immigration policy, analyses their relation and possibilities for a better cooperation in the future.

There is a description of immigration after year 1989. There is also a description of the number of immigrants and the common view of these questions. This situation is compared with the situation in similar Belgium. The main purpose of my thesis is to make description in the domain of immigration in both countries and further comparation in the domain of asylum policy, the number of immigrants and their nationality origin. My thesis also includes common asylum and migration policy of EU. According to a fact that immigration to Belgium started earlier and that Belgium is called the "Land of asylum", this country was always very attractive destination with many new opportunities and better standards of life. There was also a big immigration influence to local culture. There is a big difference between Belgium and Czech Republic, because Czech Republic has not had yet open approach to other nationalities. The immigration to Czech Republic started much later and there is no important influence to czech culture. The nationalities of incoming immigrants to both countries are also different.
