Transformation of the Cinema Infrastructure in the Czech Republic in 1989-2009

The presented thesis deals with the description of the infrastructure of the cinemas and their location in the Czech Republic in the period of 1989-2009. Special attention is given to the process of transformation of filmmaking and the course of privatization of the cinema industry. The second part is devoted to the development process in terms of number of cinemas, their concentration with regard to the regions and also the distribution of particular types of the cinema within the Czech Republic. Further, two specific types of cinemas are being compared - the cinema complexes and art cinemas. Comparison is made in terms of their general location, their placement within the city and their dramaturgy. On the map attached at the end of the thesis one can see the development and concentration of cinema complexes in the area of the Czech Republic beginning with the openning of the first complex and ending in the year 2009. Business plan

The subject of the bachelor thesis is to work up the real foundation of the art cinema with a cafe evolving in a restaurant. The location of the project is in Rudná. Further analysis of its feasibility and overall evaluation is included. The complete work consists of two parts. The first, theoretical one, is focused on defining basic points, a brief analysis of business forms and individual components of a business plan. The practical part consists of a custom survey and fully prepared business plan of the art cinema Kibi in the woods. It should assess the transferability of business ideas into practice and evaluate economic parameters of its operation.
