The design theme is not just the archive as a repository of past, but primarily center of architecture as a platform for sharing ideas and shifting boarders in architecture. This makes an institution with overlapping contradictory programs at different levels. It is both closed and open. These two counterparts are solved in spatial and material „spiral“. On the one hand, there is the notion of absolute closeness that of archive, on the other there is also the idea of the maximum openness of public space. Closeness and openness are transcribed in mass, materiality as well as programmatic solutions of space. The aim is to modulate the degree of social interaction in each of the spaces according to its function.
Ventilation of the archive
Hudeček, František ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
Ventilation systems for depositories have certain specifics. Their main objective is to provide safe environment for preserving unique cultural or other valuable objects that are being stored for extensive time periods. The economical aspect of the operation should be taken into ac-count and the ventilation system adjusted accordingly. This project also incorporates ventila-tion of secondary areas. Ventilation system is subsequently assessed in terms of indoor air quality (CFD simulation) and energetic requirements (program TRNSYS). Air quality in depositories is evaluated using age of air parameter. The qualitative and quanti-tative outcomes are obtained. Possible measures are then suggested to improve the air quality. The objective of energy simulation is to evaluate overall energy required for a year of opera-tion of main air handling units. In addition, estimation of energy requirements for heating and cooling are made for the whole building. The results are compared and more simulations are carried out in order to lower overall energy consumption.

The original building of the academic canteen was built in 1929 as the work of architect Vinzinger Baier, a professor of architecture. In terms of context, the building is located on the border between a busy city and a vast park. The premises and mass of the building respond in abstraction to the city / street transition with clear order and nature through a rational conception of disposition and facade into the street, and subsequent decomposition and irrationalization both vertically and horizontally towards the park. Thus, the object is a special kind of fragmentary gradient, and so it is handled within the framework of the reconstruction of the Center of Architecture, linking archive of modern architecture and creative center in one institution.
Environment of archives
Onderek, Aleš ; Počinková, Marcela (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the way inventories are stored in depositories. Later on, it develops a project of the air-conditioning system in the archive. The last part of the thesis deals with an experiment which examines the interior environment of the depository.

Keeping, registering and subsequent serving of data to the public. Archive as the place where I consume and spend information. Fast and slow space, fast and slow thinking. Fast food digital information as a necessary counterpart of "slow" research. Closure and concentration in contact with an open and lit place full of motion.
The Brno Biennal Archive
Roubalová, Petra ; Březina, David (referee) ; Kögler, Žaneta (advisor)
Result of my thesis can be divided into three parts. The first is a survey of input data, therefore Brno Biennal and a structure appropriate content. The second part is design of a visual form of the site. In the third part I revisit their existing solutions of Web archive of Brno Biennal and I create another principle of gradual filling the materials in the collections.
The Dangerous Method # 19
Staněk, Jiří ; Kowolowski, František (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
I'm working with photographs of Sigmund Freud's apartment and creating their pseudo reconstruction. I'm trying through technique of linocut uncover light from black and white photos taken by documentarist Edmund Engelman in Vienna in 1938. I'm revealing volumes of individual fragments, which light falls on. Exposed light I keep for myself, for some melancholy reasons, and store it in glass jars. It is negative and final linocut represents positive. Atmosphere of pictures from Edmund Engelman's book has a big influence on me as well as Robert Longo's cycle Freud Drawings. Their atmosphere is catalyst for my own art solution.
Password Recovery of ZIP Archives Using GPU
Večeřa, Vojtěch ; Veselý, Vladimír (referee) ; Hranický, Radek (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis was to expand tool Wrathion by adding yet unsupported encryption methods of .ZIP format and by adding support for .7z format. This thesis contains the description of used technologies, detailed analysis of formats denoted above, as well as the description of module designs and implementations. All functionalities were tested on real devices. The measurement results contain information about time needed for password recovery, performance and acceleration of the password recovery. The thesis also covers comparison with other known tools.
The Life of a Record
Ryneš, Zdeněk ; Mazanec, Martin (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
In my work, I deal with a topic of diary or diary record in sense of the creation and archivation of my personal history and reflective view on it. For one year, I was collecting random recordings, which I stored into a calendary divided database. In the first phase of my work, I was interested in making distance from emotionally and personally charged material. I cut the recordings according to/in the basis of the graphic schemes and outlines beforehand. Above all, I was concerned in the video collection as a whole. In subsequent phase, my interest was brought to the details of the whole complex. I started to split the video into the individual frames, those I was printing. I transfered the videos from the digital form into a material artefact. After that, I shared these frames printed in the linear order and completed by an asociational narration always with one invited participant through repeated action. The result is a space installation counting two videos. First of them representing archive as a whole and second one is the series of the recordings of past actions.
Radio
Matyášová, Hana ; Štětina, Roman (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
The goal of this work is to create a radio station at FFA and to start with building space for sharing audio across faculty. Radio creates a space of possible sharing and collaboration. The activity of content creation, where a collective of people come together, becomes important in this regard. Radio also captures the audio image of FFA through an ever-growing and never-ending archive of music created by current and former members of the academic community. An important point in the development of the work has been the event and broadcast of the Unambitious Studio which dwelled into Environment studio. The Unambitious Studio was based on the author's own research and addresed questions of the nature of the studio and its transformations, forms of ambition. Inspired by the principle of the Unambitious Studio event, the thesis Radio will be presented in the defence on 16 May 2022 with the (Un)ambitious Radio event. Inspired by the principle of this action there will be action (Un)ambitious radio as presentation of master's thesis Radio.
