Design of Modern V8 Combustion Engine
Šebesta, Radek ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Master´s thesis is considered with design and construction of V8 combustion engine with small size and low mass of its body. In the construction were used mass-produced components from the other engines. From every component was generated a 3D model in computer program Pro/Engineer, new necessary parts were made in the same program and put together to assembly. Main part of the construction was to design a new crankshaft, a crankcase and an engine lubricating system. The crankshaft was subjected computing analysis in program Pro/Mechanica, using FEM.
Ultimita
Jindra, Daniel ; Kala, Jiří (referee) ; Hradil, Petr (advisor)
Structural beam and shell models were assembled in ANSYS program package. Design loads are defined according to Euro codes. Nonlinear analysis of structure has been established. Ultimate limit state of beams and cross sections were determined. Obtained results of ultimate limit state analysis were compared with Euro codes for design thin-walled steel structures.
Design of the axial dendritic suspension of steam turbine rotor blade
Vrbka, Dušan ; Majer, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dušek, Daniel (advisor)
This master thesis deals with axial dendritic suspension of steam turbine rotor blade. The initial shape of the suspension was design on the basis of available data. There was performed stress-strain analysis of this shape and most dangerous spots were picked. There were made several geometrical changes of the shape of suspension. Their affection on stress-strain responding of the suspension was examined. The best shape was chosen which was used to perform analysis of infinite life according to ASME code and due to loading low cycle fatigue analysis. According to results of low cycle fatigue analysis the maximum loading was established. At the end of this work the further steps were suggested.
