Development of abrasion resistant concrete
Procházka, David ; Darebník, Zdeněk (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
The resistance of concrete to abrasion is an important feature particularly for transport and water management structures where the surface is exposed to abrasion. Bachelor thesis deals with individual influences on improvement of abrasion resistance of concrete surface. Furthermore, the search of test methods used for testing abroad. In the practical part, we assess the effect of curing agents on resistance to abrasion, water jet and tensile strength by tear-off test.
Study of the effect of concrete composition on the abrasion surfaces
Hoško, Marek ; Reiterman, Pavel (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
This work deals with summarizing knowledge on issues related to the loss of skid resistance properties of roads, which is caused by surface abrasion. Then indicates the relation between types of aggregates and paste volume to abrasion, impact compressive strength, aeration rate and different types of finishes. In the practical part were designed recipe CB II with different types of coarse aggregate. Samples were tested for abrasion method according to Böhm according to CSN 73 1324 Determination of abrasion of concrete.
Development of abrasion-resistant concrete and testing methods
Procházka, David ; Bodnárová, Lenka (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with concrete abrasion resistance against abrasion. The constructions of transport and water management structures are most stressed by the action of abrasion by means of travel of vehicles and flowing water. Abrasion reduces the durability of the structures. The prerequisites for achieving the best possible abrasion resistance are examined. Furthermore, test methods that are currently used worldwide. The experimental part deals with the influence of individual types of aggregates amphibolite (Želešice), fecal gravel sand (Žabčice) and basalt (Bílčice) on abrasion resistance. Furthermore, the dependence between the strength of the concrete and the hardness of the surface for abrasion resistance. Abrasion resistance testing was determined by concrete abrasion, abrasion resistance by the Böhm method and by water jet.
Study the concrete abrasion process by water
Boucníková, Veronika ; Hela, Rudolf (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
The master thesis is focused on resistance of concrete against to effects of flowing water. In the theoretical part of the thesis mechanical and chemical effects of flowing water were described. The research of aspects that affects resistance of concrete against flowing water was done. Futhermore, the methods that evaluated resistance of concrete against flowing water were described. In the experimental part of the thesis the effect of concrete composition on resistance against mechanical and water abrasion was observed. Abrasive and plain high-speed water jet was used to simulate the effects of water abrasion. After interaction of concrete and water jet the relief and volume loss of material were observed.
