Posouzení růstové schopnosti jehňat ve vybraném chovu
KŘELINOVÁ, Pavla
Sheep farming is still expanding due to the unpretentiousness and resilience of some sheep breeds. The advantage of these breeds is that, they graze grass areas even in less accessible areas and thus maintaining the landscape. One of these breeds is the wallachian sheep. The data were drawn from the performance control database from SCHOK (Association of Sheep and Goat Breeders), on the basis of which the growth capacity of this breed in a particular breed was evaluated. This work was focused on the own growth ability of the lambs and the factors that affect this ability (sex and litter frequency). The obtained data and information were compared with KU data (performance check) and with the literature. Data from 2018 - 2021 were used for evaluation.
Vlivy působící na hmotnost jehňat při narození
PITROVÁ, Ludmila
The aim of the Diploma thesis was to monitor and evaluate selected influences on the weight of lambs at their birth. There were used basic breeding records of 604 lambs of both sexes in the breed of Wallachian sheep from the farm Ing. Jan Vejčík for the analysis. Birth weights were evaluated according to sex, litter frequency, litter order, paternal line and the year of birth. The results of the comparison brought the following findings. The influence of the father on the live weight of the lambs at birth was confirmed by the F test based on the significance level (p < 0.05 to 0.01) as statistically significant to almost highly significant. Comparing the average weight of lambs at birth by father´s line, the birth weight of lambs of the VALVEJ line clearly prevails. Moderate differences were shown between the effects of the frequency and order of litter, the other in terms of importance was the influence of the year of birth of lambs. The effect of sex of live-born lambs was statistically insignificant.
Vlivy působící na plodnost bahnic plemene valaška.
FREMLOVÁ, Aneta
The aim of this diploma thesis was the analysis of selected factors and their influence on the fertility of ewes in the Wallachian sheep breed. These factors were presented over the age of ewes for fertility, litter size and lamb survival. The second factor was the influence of the sire line on fertility, litter size and lamb survival. For this purpose, a farm in Dlouhá Stropnice was chosen. First the herd was introduced, then statistically described and finally a statistical analysis of selected factors was performed. Based on the achieved results, recommendations for breeders were proposed.
Vlivy působící na morfologické změny vemene u valašek
KUČERA, Josef
The morphological structure of the udder ofsheep is important due to the possible complications of lamb breeding and the use of machine milking. Bad teats position, short teats are problematic in lambing period and milking machin. Lambs can´t findt too big and horizontal teats.
Housing technology and its impact on the welfare of sheep breed Valaška.
LIŠKA, Zdeněk
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the technology of sheep housing and its influence on their welfare. To evaluate the given technology, the control monitoring of the flock was carried out and the local veterinary and zootechnical documents were used. The other sources of information were farmer´s records. For breeding the flock, the year-round rearing on pasture with a free access to the stable is applied. Based on the monitoring and evaluation of the data obtained, it was found that the technology is optimal in terms of welfare and health of animals. Furthermore, it was found that the technology of sheep housing is favourable in terms of operating costs and labor requirements. Key
Evaluate the reproductive performance of the Wallachian sheep
BALOUNOVÁ, Lucie
The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the level of reproductive performance of the Wallachian sheep in the flock of sheep bred by Jan Vejčík. At first the following parameters were evaluated in 457 ewes during the period 2007 - 2011: fertilization, fertility, reproduction intensity, total rearing, infertility, rearing of lambs born and total mortality of lambs. Then, using statistical methods, frequency of litters and effect of age on fertility of ewes were evaluated and the identified parametres were compared with the flocks originating from the Union of sheep and goats of the Czech Republic. Finally, the economy sales for slaughter lambs depending on fertility was assessed. The mean fertility of the flock of sheep reached 171, 77 % and the percentage of fertilization was 92, 54 %. Total breeding flock was 143, 19 %. Seven percent of the sheep was infertile, which is directly influenced by the intensity of reproduction (158,93 %). Mortality of lambs was 10, 03 % and thus survival rate of lambs was 89,97 %. The study shows that the longer the period of existence of a farm is, the higher the fertility of ewes is (almost 179 % in 2011). Also an increasing tendency of the number of sheep twins was recorded during the study (59 twins in 2011). This indicates good welfare of the animals and generally good health of the flock. Ewes reached the highest fertility at the age of 5 to 7 years. The indicators of fertility, reproduction and total intensity of rearing showed significant differences when compared with the flocks originating from the Union of sheep and goats of the Czech Republic. Significantly higher fertility, reproduction and overall intensity was achieved in the monitored flock The difference was not statistically significant (p > 0,05) except for the fertilization parameter. Sales for slaughter lambs per ewe were affected by the share of reactive sheep and total lamb mortality, this effect was, however, only about 20 % of the total dependency. Disregarding the overall mortality of lambs and reactive sheep, it would be true that higher fertility is in direct proportion with sales for slaughter lambs.
