VD Vlachovice - concrete gravity dam
Juriga, Jan ; Šulc, Jan (referee) ; Zachoval, Zbyněk (advisor)
As a part of this bachelor thesis an alternative design of the concrete gravity dam VD Vlachovice was made, to the already design of the earth-fill dam. The design of the outlet works, intake and spillway were also carried out as a part of the study. The introduction of the thesis includes a description of the site and an evaluation of local conditions. The next part deals with the stability of the dam and the load-bearing capacity of the subsoil. Furthermore, the design of the outlet works, intake and spillway were made. A part of the thesis also deals with the transformation of flood by the water reservoir. Finally, drawings and simplified 3D model of the dam were created. The documents necessary for the creation of the work were provided by company AQUATIS a.s. with the permission of Povodí Morava, s.p.
Cottage for the True Highlands
Petrová, Miroslava ; Šibal, Jan (referee) ; Králová, Zuzana (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on design of a detached house with a carpentry workshop. The main building is a one-storey living house with a residential attic. The carpentry workshop and a shelter for two cars form the surrounding buildings. The buildings are made of ceramic bricks Porotherm, except for the attic of the house, which is designed as a timber frame construction. The house has a half-hipped roof with five dormers and a broken roof , which evoke the atmosphere of the Czech countryside typical for the Highlands. The workshop has a gabled roof. The attic has a confessed roof frame. The shelter is formed by columns that hold a gabled roof. The house is designed for a family of five. The workshop is situated to the north, while the living rooms are situated mainly to the south. The thesis contains drawings and technical descriptions and it is composed as an implementing project.
Water Management Analysis of Reservoir Storage Capacity Under Climate Change
Smolík, Lukáš ; Knoppová, Kateřina (referee) ; Marton, Daniel (advisor)
The thesis is processed from several partial steps. The first step is to calibrate and validate the hydrological model using real meteorological and hydrological data using the balance hydrological model in Runoff Prophet. Furthermore, using the corresponding statistical downscaling in the LARS WG program. Create climatological data sets considering climate change. Hydrological transformation of climatological data by hydrological model to compile sets of hydrological series for Vlára river basin. Recalculate the hydrological data to the body of the dam for the tributary of the Vlára River, including water transfers from the basins of the Sviborka and Smolinka streams. The last step of the work is to analyze the storage volume and its respective improved water outflow from the tank and to assess the impact of climate change on the storage volume of the tank.
