Workspaces and models of their distribution
Vais, Jan ; Prokýšek, Miloš (advisor) ; Fuglík, Viktor (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with distribution methods of operating environments, i.e. operating systems, software and specific configurations. In the thesis, chosen methods (local virtualization, remote software installation, hard drive cloning, cloud computing and remote terminal services) are described. Different distribution methods are evaluated using our own criteria. Four model institutions of different size are considered. Results of the case study are reported in the final part.
Microsoft's tools for remote server access
Křenek, Jan ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
This Bachelor thesis discusses the Remote Management. I've been dealing with this problem for approximately five years now. I find it interesting and that's the reason I've picked it up. For a long time it wasn't clear to me which Remote Management tool to use and when, so I would have reached the best solution. That's the reason I've implemented the most of these tools and have been testing them for some time. For the theory part I've been using relevant literature, but for some tools, namely DirectAccess, there is none, so I had to settle with internet sources. The main benefit of this work is the comprehensive overview of Microsoft what tool to use and when, with major focus on effectiveness.
