 This bachelor thesis deals with current trends in physiotherapy in patients with brain damage in the early stage of the disease. The aim of this thesis is to gather information about commonly used and unconventional methods in physiotherapy after stroke and to evaluate some of the methods in practice. 
 The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge about stroke and then includes methods that are used in physiotherapy in patients after stroke. These methods consist of conventional and unconventional approaches in physiotherapy. The practical part includes the thesis aim, methodology and three case studies of patients after stroke. The therapy is focused on the use of the Homebalance system, Mirror therapy and the Armeo®Spring device. Each of the patients underwent one of therapies mentioned above. In the practical part the usability of these therapies is also evaluated.

One of the patients was using a stabilometric platform Homebalance and the other one has therapy with system Armeo®Spring. In the practical part, there is also evaluation of use of these therapies in practice.
