Goal of the bachelor thesis is to compare changes in sectoral structure according to the NACE classification in the Czech Republic. Literary research will include theoretical concept of structural changes and its causes, especially by technological progress and globalisation. Analytical part will analyse structural changes in 2007-2017 according to 3 criteria namely employment, gross value added and average gross salary. Furthermore 3 selected industries will be compared with the Slovak republic.
Are low-income people more obese? Case of California

Are low income people in a bigger danger of obesity? This analysis included 19 254 habitants of California confirms that every additional 10 000 dollars earned per year lower the BMI rate by 0.05. Result of this thesis is in line with current research. Average BMI of white man and US citizen living in California is 23.21. Every additional level of education lowers the BMI rate by 0.16. Ethnicity is another important factor, which influences obesity. Hispanics and Afroamericans are on average about 1.3 more obese than white race. Frequent attendance of fast food increases the BMI rate by 0.45. Food subsidies could be effective move, targeting at poorer people making thereby fruit and vegetable more available.This trend might be reflected into consumption efffect, which lowers the BMI rate by 0.24. Government and firms should also focus more on the problem of presenteeism, which is a major determinant of all costs associated with obesity.
Analysis of nanotechnology in the Czech Republic in the years 1993-2003 and its contribution to the economic growth

The goal of this paper is to analyse the development of nanotechnology in the Czech Republic in the years 1993-2013. The main focus is on contribution of nanotechnology to the economic growth of the Czech Republic. The first part of the paper is focused on history and importance of nanotechnology in the world. It contains a review of theories of economic growth in relation to technological progress. The second part describes the history of Czech nanotechnology and reveals its current state. The main section of this part provides an analysis of the Czech nanotechnology businesses and their development in the years 1993-2013.
Technological progress and its impact on the music industry

This thesis deals with positive and negative effects of technological progress on the music industry. The first part presents important changes during the evolution of the music industry to its current status. Other chapters are trying to analyze current trends and their specific features in the field of production, distribution and promotion of music in the world and the Czech Republic. Special chapter is devoted to new forms of financing music project. The work also deals with the analysis of the current music consumption habits of music consumers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The last chapter deals with the approach of Czech and Slovak musicians to new possibilities in production, distribution, promotion and fundraising for the functioning of their musical projects.
