Design of Sorting Waste Containers System

Separated waste collection is one step in the recycling process. For this purpose, containers for recycling are used. This thesis investigates the new concept of containers design towards creating an original and compact solution for cities. The final solution is a set of containers where the key idea is based on the principle of building blocks. Another innovative feature of the design solution is the possibility to choose opening configurations. It provides variability along with adapting to surrounding area. The result is a design concept hat has effectively fulfilled functional, technological, ergonomic and aesthetic needs.

Steam Boiler with grate firing RDF 70t/h, 4MPa, 400°C

The goal of this Master’s Thesis is to design a refuse derived fuel (RDF) fired steam boiler with 70 t/h processing ability. The assignment consists of requested output parameters of overheated steam and analysis of fuel components. This analysis was used for stoichiometric calculation of fuel. Furthermore, heat balance of the boiler was calculated, from which was determined the heat loss and the efficiency of the boiler. Individual designs and calculations of heating surfaces and boiler dimensions were carried out from requested output parameters.

This thesis deals with a project of steam boiler to combustion of refused-derived fuel. With respect of required fuel and output parameters of the steam was worked out stoichiometry, energy loss and boiler efficiency, heat flows was allocate to individual heat exchange surfaces. The heat exchange surfaces was calculate and project in detail.

The aim of the master’s thesis is design of grade boiler for combustion refuse derived fuel. There are specified the steam parameters and the fuel-element analysis, based on this analysis are determined stoichiometric calculation. Furthermore is calculated heat balance of the boiler, heat losses and thermal efficiency of the boiler. From the parameters are design main dimensions and parameters heat-transfer surfaces and the boiler.

Odpadové hospodářství v dobrovolném svazku obcí Šlapanicko

This bachelor thesis deals with waste management in the Voluntary Association of Municipalities Šlapanicko, which includes a total of 30 municipalities from the Šlapanice administrative district. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current state of waste management in this region and propose improvements in the area of waste disposal. As part of the thesis, an analysis of waste management in individual municipalities was conducted, and based on the collected data, measures were proposed to improve the situation in this area. The proposed measures focus on improving the waste management system by introducing certain methods and supporting the creation of new collection points or waste disposal centers. The thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of waste management in the Voluntary Association of Municipalities Šlapanicko and offers concrete proposals that can lead to minimizing environmental pollution and improving and simplifying the waste management system for municipalities and their citizens.

Systém nakládání s komunálním odpadem na území vybraných obcí mikroregionu Hornolidečsko

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of waste management in selected municipalities of the Hornolidečsko microregion. The work is divided into two main parts. The first part pays attention to the theory related to the issue, including history, the most common ways of waste management and legislation. The second part contains the characteristics of natural and socio-economic conditions, including the development of the state of municipal waste management in the monitored period. At the end of the thesis, proposals and recommendations leading to long-term sustainable waste management are established. In particular, recommendations relating to the minimalization of the production of mixed municipal waste.

Studie produkce komunálního odpadu na území městské části Brno-sever

This thesis deals with communal waste generation within city district Brno-sever. The bachelor thesis is focused on description of communal waste generation and its components during time period 2012-2015. Overall, the components of communal waste management are set up for the whole city, so that the generation on the cadastral areas was derived from a total containers volume and frequency of transfer to a disposal facility. The results show the current situation of the communal waste generation and the proportion of its components in the relation to a character of the individual cadastral areas in the city district Brno-sever. In the comparison of the waste generation was found that the waste generation in the city district is by 10 kg per capita lower than in the whole city. Based on the analysis was determined the relationship between type of buildings or age of inhabitants and amount of generated waste. This dependence has not been proven. Even though, there has been another relationship identified, namely between waste generation and distance of the cadastral areas from the city centre. The same relationship also works for a proportion of its components in the cadastral areas of the city district Brno-sever.

Sorting of waste at primary school

ABSTRACT
This thesis deals with the possibilities of municipal waste separation and the importance of education and awareness at the primary school level. The review part is generally focused on municipal waste issues, basic terms, methods of separation and recycling. In the next part there are the possibilities of elementary schools to participate in programmess with environmental topics, especially with the eventuality of systematic separation of waste within the classroom. It assesses the potential to create internal programmes and involvement in external ones. In the practical part the method of questionnaire survey at a primary school in Chodov near Karlovy Vary is employed. The research was applied there and it aims to determine the influence of education on the attitude of respondents, elementary school pupils. The comparison of the situation before and after completing the educational program of the company EKOKOM Tonda package on the road was carried out. The benefit is the analysis of pupils' awareness accomplished by the comparison of both questionnaires and specific verification of positive impact on the pupils approach to waste separation thanks to the awareness. One part of the thesis is to build an EVVO plan at the selected elementary school together with events focused on waste management.
