The current condition of soil organic matter in Stropnicko selected sites
BOROVKA, Jan
The main objective of this thesis was to determine the current status of soil organic matter (SOM) in the Stropnice River basin based on the collected soil samples. SOM is a major source of carbon in the soil. The amount of soil organic carbon (SOC) in the samples was measured using the FORMACSHT TOC / TN analyser, as well as the additional module PRIMACSMCS (fa Skalar - CARBON Instruments Ltd.). The values measured in 2014 were compared according to the land use (woodland, grassland, arable land) and the depth of sampling (A: 0-15 cm, B: 15 - 30 cm, C: 30 - 45 cm). Furthermore, these values were compared with values from 2001 and 2007. The highest SOC concentration was found in the upper layers of forest soils, grassland soils showed lower SOC content, whereas the arable land showed the lowest amount of SOC. Over the time, depletion of SOC is evident for all categories of land use.
The chemical and physical parameters of precipitation waters in the Stropnicko region.
MORBICEROVÁ, Iveta
This work aimed to evaluate long-term changes of selected chemical and physical parameters of rainwater from their own rain gauge stations Stropnicko. Chemical and physical parameters influence the rate of loss of substance in the landscape through the soil environment. In particular, the amount and concentration of dissolved sulphates and nitrates, affecting the value of the current pH. Samples were taken from their own rain gauge stations Stropnicko. Names of stations from which samples were taken are Horní Stropnice, Nakolice, Paseky and Nové Hrady. Rainfall were measured between the years 2005-2011 and were subjected to chemical analysis.
Dynamism of soil carbon and selective soil characteristics in model landscape Stropnice subcatchments
BODLÁK, Lubomír
The aim of the theses was to describe soil organic matter changes in model landscape Stropnice subcatchments that have different biotopes and agricultural and forest management.Particular aims were: 1) to determine the link between landuse, soil environment changes and catchment matter losses. 2)to experimentally prove the water regime impact on carbon and other substances losses during and between vegetation seasons.
