Social Politics as Power Instrument

This thesis describes the origin and the development of the social state. It deals with critical voices in terms of the social state functioning and the crisis caused by social and economical changes. The second section zooms in the social policy as a practical activity and as well as a branch of a science. It is focused on leading ideological concepts of the social policy which predetermine a choice and an usage of basic social political concepts. The third section of this thesis is targeted at the term ``political power{\crqq}, the usage of the power and its legitimacy. The fourth section is foremost devoted to political parties in general and furthermore it deals with the development of the Czech party system. In conclusion, it is concerned with contemporary political parties. The last section explains terms such as ``democracy{\crqq} and ``republic{\crqq} in its original and contemporary meanings.
