The goal of this work is to design and realize teaching program for demonstration of oscilometric measurement of blood pressure using the Matlab software. The work concentrates on the analysis of shape of the pulse wave. Further the literary research in the area of compliance of the arterial system and the changes to the shape of the pulse wave in different parts of the arterial system.

The aim of the semester project is to learn the physiology of cardiovascular system and risk factors causing cardiovascular diseases, to understand mechanisms resulting in the development of arteriosclerosis. In second part of the semester project was made program which calculate PWV from central aortic pressure waveform.
