Využití vybraných skupin zahradních kosatců ve vytipovaném intravilánu měst
Zemene, Weronika
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of the genus Iris in urban space. The first part mentions the theoretical basis for the problems of greenery in cities and the approach of the genus Iris from the perspective of horticultural classification. These findings were followed by a practical part, where the aim was to monitor and compare selected plantings in the cities of Ostrava and Hlučín. a total of 6 habitats were elected, where selected groups of garden irises have been planting, namely a group of bearded irises – IB and groups of beardless irises – SPEC, SPEC-X, JI and SIB. Plantings have been established gradually from September 2017 to September 2020. In the practical part, a soil survey was performed on model sites, a comparison of hydrometeorological data from the nearest hydrometeorological station CHMU Ostrava-Poruba from the beginning of each planting and a comparison of spring development of irises in selected sites. The results of the bachelor thesis show us that the observed groups of irises, due to their conditions, are suitable for planting in the cities. The last part is based on the transfer of theoretical findings into practice.

Rajsiglová, Veronika
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of brownfields and their transformation into urban parks. As a model example, a post-militia building of equestrian barracks in Prostějov is chosen. As part of the literary research, the basic concepts with which the author worked were set out. Subsequently, the issue of urban greenery and the current concept of blue-green infrastructure of settlements were explored and drawn up in the wake of climate change and with an emphasis on urban parks. The history of urban greenery and parks was briefly summarized. The literary section also dealt with the topic of conversion of brownfields campuses. The development of interest in the conversion of abandoned objects was clearly summarised and pointed to the threats and benefits that may arise from this activity. The five reference examples illustrated different approaches to conversions and to the concepts of urban parks corresponding to model territory. At the end of the research section, the principles for the process of the work of the landscape architect in the design of brownfields conversions to urban parks were defined. In the analytical part, map and text documents were processed for the model territory, field surveys and analyses of planning documents were carried out. The main focus was on answering the question of whether the city of Prostějov needs a new public park. Emphasis was placed on the investigation of the history of the territory from the available literary sources, the setting of natural conditions and the evaluation of the current state of the model building, including vegetation. Valuable evidence for arguing the need for a new green area in the city was presented by documents of planning documents and records of the Czech Hydrometeorological Office on air pollution. The output of the analytical part is a problem drawing showing both the positive and negative aspects of the model site, the potential benefits and threats. Finally, an architectural study of the conversion of equestrian barracks was prepared on the basis of established starting points. The design is aimed at depicting the historical footprint and function, combines current and future requirements for the content and mission of the city park and works with the connection of the park to the system of green infrastructure of Prostějov.

Flóra a vegetace nevyužívaných brněnských areálů uvažovaných pro parkové úpravy
Bartoš, Marcel
In this diploma thesis I deal with the research of the flora and vegetation of three unused areas of Brno, in which will or may be built city parks in the future. These areas are Planýrka, the area of the former Hády tailings pond (Hapal's Park) and the location where Houbalova Park will be built. The aim by field research was to record the species of plants, document the vegetation of the defined areas and describe and characterize these areas based on the data obtained. The data was mainly obtained by floristic survey, recording phytocenological relevés, photographing vegetation using a drone and, last but not least, a detailed literature search of the natural conditions of the defined areas, botanical resources and databases, but also research on the use of the areas in the past, present and also in the future. A partial aim was to create a map of actual vegetation of the studied areas. In the field, I recorded a total of 26 phytocenological relevés representing mainly ruderal, scrub and grass vegetation and their combinations. In total, I found 389 taxa of vascular plants, of which 27 are endangered (4 protected by law) and 26 are invasive. The work also includes a documentary herbarium of selected taxa which is stored in the BRNU. Other floristic survey data are published in the iNaturalist application (NDOP) and recorded relevés are stored in the ČNFD.
