Bartoň, Karel
This bachelor thesis studies methods of single rope ascent to the tree canopy with use of additional friction by Prusik's knot and with ascenders. The thesis compares methods for tree crown ascent, movement within the tree canopy and safe descent on the ground. Said methods are evaluated from the points of ergonomy, speed, effectiveness, and physical requirements on a tree climber. Both methods are described in the literary overview. Also is present used equipment accompanied by photographs. Terrain measurements are including in the time of ascent, O2 saturation and heart rate are analysed in the methodology section. The data was collected with use of a mobile pulse oximeter. Energy requirements for each method are calculated by further processing of the collected data. An Ergonomics is analysed based on a checklist for ergonomic risk assesment.
