Giuseppe Sarti's Operatic Arias in Prague Collections

This bachelor thesis deals with the occurence of operatic arias of Italian composer Giuseppe Sarti in Prague. The starting point of this work is research of the archive resources of the basic Prague institutions and consequential creating of the list of all available sources. On this basis three most numerous arias are chosen and they are farther remited to musical and textual analyse. Thanks to this analysis it is possible to get closer to Sarti's way of musical composition, in general then to gain evidences of Italina opera during the Classic period. Moreover this analysis provide an opportunity for better understanding of musical conventions and taste in Bohemia in late 18th century.
