The importance of physiotherepy in diabetic neuropathy

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the mapping of physiotherapeutic posibillities for neuropathy, and creating an exercise unit to improve the stability of autotherapy with individual probands. Diabetic neuropathy is a very common chronic complication of the diabetes mellitus disorder. This disorder affects the peripheral nervous system and its most common symptoms are paresthesia, a feelings of cold feet and stability issues. The theoretical part examines the diabetes mellitus disorder. This disorder is written about in the second chapter, containing the classification, diagnostics, therapy and its complications. A chronic complication of this disorder can be diabetic neuropathy, to which is devoted the third chapter. This chapter is composed of the anatomy of the peripheral nervous system, the forms, neuropathic pain and a treatment. The fourth chapter deals with postural stability. The practical part was based on qualitative research. The research group consisted of three probands diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy. Each proband was kept a casuistry, which contains anamnesis, kinesiological analysis, stability examination including a posturograph, and essential neurological examinations. Based on the initial examination, individual physiotherapeutic procedures were created. The main part of the exercise unit was dedicated to sensomotor skills, the relaxation of joint structures on the leg, and exercising on balance pads with postural stability training. The results of this research proved that physiotherapy in diabetic neuropathy has a positive impact on the health condition of the proband. During the therapy, the probands subjectively expressed mitigation of paresthesia. It was confirmed that the probands could better hold their stability even in more difficult positions.

Utilisaation of Physiotherapeutical Procedures and Methods in Patients with the Multiple Sclerosis

The title of thesis: Utilisaation of physiotherapeutical procedures and methods in patients with the multiple sclerosis. Abstract of thesis: This work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The content of the firt part is a study of theoretical works related to multiple sclerosis. The main chapters are devoted to history of multiple sclerosis, the definition of why and how the disease arises, the types of disease, clinical presentation, diagnosis, therapy, desce incidence and complications that can occur to people with this disease. Finally, I looked at various physiotherapeutic procedurs and methods related to this disease. In the practical part of the thesis , a qualitatice research metod - cause study - was used. The research was conduted at the Center for demyelination disorders (MS center) at the Charles Square. The test set consisted of two probands with a diagnosis od cerebro-spinal multiple sclerosis, specifically of the relapsing - remitting form of disease. These diagnoses were determined by the attending physician of the probands. During the physiotherapy I used elements of the Bobath koncept. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in Context of Physiotherapy

This bachelor{\crq}s thesis provides information about carpal tunnel syndrome. The general part focuses on carpal tunnel anatomy, clinical symptoms, diagnosis of the disease and conservative treatment. Although not a topic of this thesis, surgery is referred to in this thesis as it is a frequently used treatment for carpal tunnel. The objective of this thesis is to evaluate physiotherapy techniques used in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome and to assess patients{\crq} subjective complaints before and after the application of these techniques. In this work, I did qualitative research using the following data collection techniques: study of documents, observations, free interviews, and secondary analysis of data. Case reports of three patients describe in particular the examination and rehabilitation of carpal tunnel syndrome patients using selected conservative physiotherapeutic techniques. I focused on the following techniques: laser treatment, ultrasound therapy, contact-free electrotherapy, manipulation of soft tissues, joint mobilization, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, Butler{\crq}s neuromobilization techniques, and taping techniques. Generally, these methods were evaluated positively by patients and resulted in the improvement of symptoms. I believe the said techniques should be used on a long-term basis and I would recommend their combined use. In this way, the benefits of physiotherapy can be more effectively utilized. I further believe it is important to inform patients about this disease and its causes sufficiently and understandably. This approach would help patients understand their problems and increase their motivation to cope with the disease.
