Advanced FTP Server

This bachelor thesis deals with the FTP protocol and its possibilities to verify CRC checksums, to sort multimedia data by authors, genres, years and to create transmission statistics. These options were shown on FTP server GlFTPd. A PZS-NG plugin has been installed in GlFTPd for further setup. An IRC bot Eggdrop has also been installed. It allows the displaying of the information about the uploaded files and the server information to an IRC channel when using the ngBot script from PZS-NG. GlFTPd has been installed on a physical machine with a Debian Linux distribution.

This article deals with the installation of an advanced FTP server called GlFTPd, which runs as a daemon on Linux operating system and connects it with the PZS-NG plugin, which allows you to validate the CRC of the files on the server. There are some properties listed in this text as well as possibility to sort music by the author, the genre, etc.
