Research of the Třísov oppida under the leadership of L. Franz and C. Streitová in the years 1935-1938

The bachelor's thesis deals with the excavation led by Leonhard Franz and Camilla Streit on the oppidum Třísov before second world war and with the documentation of a part of the find set, which was exported abroad soon after end of the excavation. Attention is paid in particular to painted pottery, its development and comparison with other sites

The iron tools from oppidum Třísov (in the collections of the Department of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquity NM)

The work focuses on summarizing the state of knowledge of iron tools in La Téne Téne Period and on documenting these items from the oppidum of Třísov (District of Český Krumlov), assembled during the archaeological surveys of Jiří Břeň, which belong to the collections of the Department of Prehistory and ancient antiquity of the National Museum in Prague. The aim is to assess the spatial distribution of finds within the oppidum, to analyse the spectrum of the iron tools found at the oppidum and to compare it to the assemblages from other oppida-sites in Central European milieu.
