Water as a Source ABSTRACT Water is a ubiquitous substance that often goes unnoticed and underappreciated in our daily lives. Its significance is often only realized during periods of extreme fluctuations, such as droughts or floods. However, the importance of water as a source of sustenance, energy, and inspiration cannot be overstated, as it is a fundamental element for all life on earth. Despite its indispensability to humanity, much is still unknown about water, including its origins and unique properties. Contemporary science is just beginning to explore these questions across various scientific disciplines. This thesis aims to address some of these unanswered questions and explore the use of water as a resource, particularly in the spa and mining industries within the Ore Mountains foothills region (Podkrušnohoří). Additionally, it examines the historical perception of water and its significance to our ancestors. The underlying assumption of this work is that emotional responses to visual art can influence human emotions, leading to increased interest and appreciation of water as a valuable resource. Through this emotional aesthetic experience, individuals can begin to recognize water as an essential component of their own being and transform their relationship with it.
