Bachelor's thesis deals with the issues of air traffic. This thesis aims to create an overview of the methods used at the up-to-date air navigation. Analyzes the various methods of navigation methods. Interprets the objectives of the contemporary navigation direction and future development of air navigation. It also deals with ways of planning the new airways and the benefits that current area navigation aviation brings.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore and describe the effects and consequences of the Earth’s shape and its atmosphere on land and on-board radio equipment used in aviation. This thesis contains the description of these influences affecting the whole spectrum of electromagnetic waves used in aviation communication, navigation and air traffic control. It also explains specific forms of effects of the Earth’s shape and its atmosphere on individual devices, which are most commonly used in civil air navigation.
