This thesis deals with the characteristics of two wine micro-regions and VOC associations which originated on this territories. Characterizes the local terroir, historical, climatic and geological conditions. It deals with the monitoring of selected analytical parameters in the variety Blaufrankisch on the trails belonging to the VOC Modré hory and in the variety Welschriesling from vineyards belonging to the VOC Pálava during their maturation.

The Bachelor thesis deals with the conditions which characterise the micro-region of Modré hory. Especially the issue of agribussines and conditions for its social development. The content of the thesis introduces the main terms related with the issue, the characteristics of the micro-region analysis associated with the development of the population (including the long term stability), the demographic structure of the population, education, employment and business opportunities. I also delineate agriculture in the micro-region, focusing on the cadastral area and ways of its cultivation. The thesis deals with tourist localities in the micro-region; including agrotourism and bicycle-tourism as well. I also focus on organisations that support tourism development by organising events focused on wine tourism. In conclusion the results are evaluated and options are suggested for future development.

The content of this thesis is aimed at an identification of potentials and barriers of rural tourism in the Hustopeče micro-region. In the introduction a review of literature concerning rural tourism is written up. In practical part characteristics of Hustopeče micro-region and current status of the Voluntary Association of Municipalities Modré Hory is elaborated in view of conditions for development of rural tourism. Further the information obtained is elaborated by means of the SWOT analysis. On its base potentials and barriers of the rural tourism in the surroundings of Hustopeče are defined.
