Jerusalem as the root of problems of contemporar Israeli-Palestinian relations.

Bachelor thesis analyses reasons for the rise of Israel-Palestine dispute over Jerusalem, so called Question of Jerusalem. It provides a historical overview from the ancient biblical tradition to the contemporar state of peace process. The thesis place emphasis on analysis of the period of the second half of 19. century, the rise of arab nationalism, jewish sionism, as well as the formation of the state of Israel. The output of this bachelor thesis are possible variations of the future developtment in the Question of Jerusalem, predicating different state of israeli or arab administration over Jerusalem, supervision of international community, participation of resident population, security or economic developtment in the area. Finally, the thesis outlines the ideal variant of solution of the duspute over Jerusalem and conditions of it's realization.
Syrian-Israeli Relations

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is an analysis of Syrian-Israeli Relations. The first chapter describes the history of their mutual relations from the period preceding the establishment of the State of Israel till the civil war in Lebanon. The second chapter is devoted to the Golan Heights issue, its importance, to the history of Israeli annexation, its international and legal aspects and to Israeli actions in the Golan. The third chapter deals with both stages of peace talks in the 90's and about the Syrian-Israeli Relations after 2000.

Bachelor thesis describes the Israeli-Egyptian relations and their development since the creation of State Israel to the present. The first part deals with the historical development of Palestine and Egypt before the emergence of Israel and captures the most important moments of the shared history of Egypt and Israel, and substantial changes in their relations after the establishment of Israel. The text also offers insight into the negotiations which led to the conclusion of the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt, the first such agreement in the Middle East. The last part is devoted to the development of relations between the two countries since the eighties to the present and their developing economic cooperation.
Issue of Palestinian Refugees in Contemporary Israeli-Palestinian Relations

The paper describes the issue of the Palestinian refugees in the context of relations between State of Israel and Palestinian people. It contains historical background of the israeli-palestinian conflict. The paper follows the evolution of the Palestinian refugee issue during the 20th century. Further it interprets demands of both sides of the conflict employing official resources of such organizations that represent Palestinian interests and Izraeli state institutions. Last, the issue is discussed again in the light of newly initiated peace talks between Israel and Palestinian Authority.
Impact of political and security situation on tourism of Israel

Security and political instability may affect development of country's tourism negatively. Moreover, tourism is one of the basic development conditions of tourism. Country affected by a bad security situation, e.g. because of terrorist attacks or war, is considered as an unsafe destination by potentional visitors which may result in decline in tourist arrivals to the country. Israel has image of dangerous destination in respect of a long Arab-Israeli, or Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The aim of this study is to evaluate impact of security on inbound tourist flows to Israel based on characterization of security situation in Israel from the end of the 60's to the present and reaction of inbound tourism to this development.

U.S.- Israeli relations

Israeli-U.S. relations are an important factor in the Middle East. The first part of this bachelor thesis deals with the relation between the United States of America and Israel since the very beginning. The special partnership has evolved from an initial moral sympathy to an unusual and unparalleled partnership. In the second part, I try to describe the most important causes of U.S. support for Israel (such as the political clout of Jewish lobby in the U.S., American security interests in the Middle East, religious influence...). The main vehicle for expressing this support has been unprecedented economic, military and diplomatic support.
The Clinton's administration in the Middle East peace process

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to sum up the role of the Clinton's administration in the Middle East peace process and its contribution to international relations. First chapter includes the history of American involvement in the Arabic-Israeli conflict during the whole Cold-War period. The second chapter is focused on the Clinton's administration itself and the serries of activities in the Middle East that were undertaken during both Clinton's electoral terms. The third chapter is directed to asses particular Clinton's terms, their mutual comparison as well as the comprehensive analysis of the administration's role in peace negotiations.
EU's Role in the Middle East Peace Process and Comparison with Other Significant Participants

The topic of this thesis is the question of EU's involvement in the resolution of the Middle East conflict (in a narrower sense the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians) and the survey of common positions and differences of the EU and other significant participants (especially the USA and the USSR/Russia). The ultimate objective is to assess the contribution and role of the EU in the whole process based on its analysis. The first part of the thesis outlines the evolution of the Middle East conflict from the creation of the State of Israel up to the present (May 2008), the second part deals with the analysis of West European states' and EU's approach towards the Peace Process and the the third part contains a comparison of the EU's positions with selected key participants (the USA and the USSR/Russia).
