New England's cultural and historical guide
VOKATÝ, Lukáš
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to create a well-arranged guide to New England, the northeastern part of the United States of America. The thesis is divided into six main sections. Each section is further divided into a historical summary and a part about a dominating feature of each state of New England. The first chapter describes the history of Massachusetts and takes a closer look at the capital city, Boston. The second section is about the state of Connecticut and about a few historical cities lying on its coast. The next part is about the state of Rhode Island and its main natural feature, the Narragansett Bay. The fourth section informs about the state of New Hampshire. The fifth chapter describes the history of Vermont and mainly deals with the production of maple syrup. And finally, the last part gives information about the state of Maine and the lighthouses of Maine, its dominating feature.
