Electron microscopy study of the processes involved in the recycling of electrode materials for Li-ion batteries
Baďura, David ; Báňa, Jiří (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on studying the recycling of lithium-ion batteries, using electron microscopy. In the theoretical part, the principle of operation of these accumulators is analyzed, cathode materials LiCoO2, LiFePO4 and LiNixCoyMnzO2 are analyzed in more detail. Furthermore, commonly used methods of pyrometallurgical recycling and recycling processes of selected companies dealing with the recycling of lithium-ion batteries are described. In the practical part, the processes that occur during pyrometallurgical recycling are investigated and evaluated using the methods of scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy.
Suggestion of electric scooter
Lamberský, Václav ; Tůma, Zdeněk (referee) ; Synek, Miloš (advisor)
The topic of this master thesis is the design of electric scooter. In the first part of this thesis consists if research of used structural designs and driver types. In following chapters are calculations and selection procedures of the electric motor, batteries and other accessories. Results from previous chapters were used to created complete 3D model of scooter in SolidWorks software. Based on the model, complete technical drawings were created.
Study of stability of electrolytes and electrodes by electrochemical methods
Bukáčková, Ivana ; Čech, Ondřej (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with stability of electrolytes and electrodes using electrochemical methods of Li-ion batteries. The first part of the project is devoted to the characteristics of Li-ion batteries, electrochemical reactions and characteristics of electrode materials. Consenquetial part is concentrated on preparation and measurement of elektrolyte EC : DMC with 1M LiPF6. The elektrolyte was investigated using galvanostatic method, cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy.
