Ultrasonic distance measurement
Klich, Michal ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the design and manufacture of a controlling program of equipment for distance measurement using ultrasonic sensors. It focuses on a detailed description of the whole design from the basic properties of the components to the creation of schemes and PCB design. It subsequently describes in detail the development of controlling software of the equipment. The work briefly describes the most important parts of the code. It summarizes all theoretical and practical knowledge gained during the creation of the whole design, it explains the principles of the functions and works of individual parts and it suggests the best possible options of connection of the whole equipment. It also suggests the best possible variants of the entire circuit. The bachelor thesis also describes the microprocesor AVR ATmega8 from the Atmel Corporaton, which controls the entire device, as well as EEPROM memory chip 24LCXXX, SRF05 ultrasonic sensor and communication with the PC via USB using a microchip FT230XS-R.
