This thesis is focused on the effects of inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The main goal was to obtain information about this issue on the specific example of the Czech part of the Ezgebirge/Krušnohoří Mining Region from the point of view of local stakeholders. Sub- goals are focused on heritage management in the given region, benefits and disadvantages associated with this inscription, motivation of local stakeholders to use it and identification of these stakeholders. In order to find out what effect this inscription had on local stakeholders from the public and private spheres, semi-structured interviews were used. The obtained data were evaluated using open coding and thematic analysis. The research itself can be divided into three phases. In the first phase, a list of stakeholders involved in the process of creation, protection and interpretation of mining heritage was created. The second phase consisted of interviews with local stakeholders, namely representatives of municipalities and entrepreneurs. In the last stage, these interviews were evaluated and summarized.

Water as a Source ABSTRACT Water is a ubiquitous substance that often goes unnoticed and underappreciated in our daily lives. Its significance is often only realized during periods of extreme fluctuations, such as droughts or floods. However, the importance of water as a source of sustenance, energy, and inspiration cannot be overstated, as it is a fundamental element for all life on earth. Despite its indispensability to humanity, much is still unknown about water, including its origins and unique properties. This thesis aims to address some of these unanswered questions and explore the use of water as a resource, particularly in the spa and mining industries within the Ore Mountains foothills region (Podkrušnohoří). Additionally, it examines the historical perception of water and its significance to our ancestors. The underlying assumption of this work is that emotional responses to visual art can influence human emotions, leading to increased interest and appreciation of water as a valuable resource. Through this emotional aesthetic experience, individuals can begin to recognize water as an essential component of their own being and transform their relationship with it.
