The Bachelor's thesis focuses on the creation of a digital atlas and its utilization in primary school education. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the significance and functions of an atlas in education, as well as its strengths and weaknesses. Furthermore, the thesis describes map creation with an overlap into geographic information systems (GIS) as a tool for developing geografic (map) and digital skills. The aim of the thesis is to compile a digital atlas for the local region, as well as the creation of worksheet for pupils and quidance manual for teachers. The topics of the sample maps in the atlas were selected through semi structured interviews with teachers from selected schools.

Concept atlas development of microregion Voticko

The bachelor thesis aims created a conception of atlas development of the microregion Voticko. This is a conception of the atlas of regional character. The conception encompasses all important geographical components, which serves are used to for essential information about the area. Part of this is also the evaluation of positive or negative sides. Final dates are used to for maps sheets due to spacial development. The precedes the actual formation of atlas analysis of issued regional maps works for objectiv evaluation. Total analysis is the source of information for proposal and compilation of map work. Final work contains exemplary lists, which are the part of proposal atlas.

The atlas conception of development of the microregion Čertovo břemeno

The bachelor thesis is focused on the atlas layout of development of the microregion Community of municipalities Čertovo břemeno. The atlas should especially highlight the strong points but also the weak ones of the microregion and so help its development and introduce the microregion as well. The conception, which means the atlas structure from the point of view of its content, was created in collaboration with the microregion representative. The atlas layout itself is preceded by physical geographical and social economical analysis of the discussed area which is the essential part of the thesis. The selected sample lists of maps are also the part of the thesis.

Concept atlas development of microregion Sedlčansko

The Bachelor work deals with the concept atlas development of mikroregion Sedlčany and was cooperating with the Association of Municipalities Sedlčany, so as to suit the character of the area, its strengths and weaknesses and vice versa. The very concept preceded by an evaluation of regional atlases, published in the Czech Republic. The main section of the work is a propsal each chapter and map sheets, supplemented by information on data sources necessary for their creation. The work also contains a number of drawn map sheets in the form in which it would look in the atlas itself.

The conception of Atlas of the Southbohemian region.

This diploma paper deals with proposing Atlas of the Southbohemian region. This thematic atlas is based on regional level. Thanks to its character the atlas permeates all important parts of geography and is getting the most important information source about the region. Opening chapters deal with aims of the paper and with scientific literature which is accessible to this topic. Other chapter is concentrated on evaluation of regional atlases which are connected to the territory of the Czech Republic. Essential part of this paper is the analysis of the data accessibility in regional level. There is introduced also the proper design of sections of the Southbohemian Atlas, together with a conception of single geographic papers. Exemplary geographic papers can help with creating visual imagination.
