Vliv výchovných zásahů na tloušťkový přírůst smrku

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the influence of educational interventions on the thickness growth of Picea abies. Specifically, the effect of under-level and level thinning. To compare these two methods, a control plot was used where no intervention was performed. The effect was examined on three plots. The experimental plots are located in a forest cover established in the spring of 1978 on the ekosystém station Rájec (NFA 30 – Drahanská vrchovina). The survey was realized in 2012 – 2016. The evaluation of the influence of the educational interventions was performed using competition indices. By calculating individual competition indices, it was found that the competition index value affects the value of thickness and perimeter increment. For forestry practice, it follows that the right education can guide the competition value index and thus the thickness and perimeter increment.
