Knytl, Jakub ; Pícka, Marek (advisor) ; Brožek, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on creating a multimedia center built on the Raspberry Pi microcomputer and open source software. The theoretical part deals with general aspects that define multimedia center and introduce known applications that are used for such purposes. The practical part is devoted to creating a multimedia center, from the actual software installation to initial setup. Emphasis is placed on the testing of the created solution that determines the performance limits of this solution. The result of this bachelor thesis is a functional media center and evalution of its practical application in comparation to commercially sold alternatives.
