VIOLIN COMPOSITION'S OF SLOVAK COMPOSERS, STUDENT'S OF VÍTĚZSLAV NOVÁK

This thesis gives detailed description of selected violin pieces by composers, that studied in Prague under Vítězslav Novák. Mentioned composers are Alexander Moyzes, Dezider Kardoš and Eugen Suchoň, all of which represented Slovakian modernism. The goal of the thesis is to bring awareness of these pieces to general public as they are often times unknown. Analyses include historical circumstances that heavily influenced these pieces, interesting performance details and also excerpts of the sheet music. Thesis comes with a CDs, that includes all analyzed pieces.
