The subject of this thesis is two-storey wooden basement house. The building plot is located in Brno. The House is designed with the view of surrounding buildings and the location. The House will be used for living of a family of five members. The plan view of the House is almost rectangular. The main entrance and the driveway to the House is at 1st floor level. The vertical walls are formed by a wooden frame with thermal insulation sheathed on both sides of wood chip boards and plasterboards. The ceiling structure is made of wooden beams with embedded insulation. The detached house is covered with two sloping shed roofs. The ceiling structure is made of wooden beams with embedded insulation. The detached house consists of two walkable flat roofs and one non-walkable flat roof. The project was prepared by a computer program called ArchiCAD.

Educational and cultural center of the Wallachian Bystřice

The submitted diploma thesis deals with the design of a new building for public amenities - Educational and cultural centre in the cadastral area of the municipality Wallachian Bystřice. The building is of a complex ground plan shape that should symbolize crystal growing from the hillside. The building is located in the centre of the village. The building is designed as a single-storey with a technical floor for pipework and ductwork. The building is based on the foundation slab. The bearing structure of the building is created from a reinforced concrete load-bearing wall in combination with wooden circular columns and sandwich panels from KVH profiles. The roof is formed by circular purlins and rafters. The roof structure is a single casing green intensive and extensive. In terms of the features, the building is divided into two main parts consisting of the exhibition part and the congress part, both units have their own entrances and sanitary facilities.
