Preparedness of selected hospital to accreditation
ŠIMKOVÁ, Veronika
Accreditation is an adjustment mechanism which should reduce variations in medical care provided by heatlth care facilities. At present there are only twenty-one hospitals accredited by state. This accreditation guarantees that the medical care of the institution meets state standards. The hospital does not meet all standards so it cannot be accredited. It has, however, all preconditions to supplement the standards in near future. This work should help the hospital to assess its preparatory work for accreditation. I hope it will help other health care facilities and private people in their work concerned with accreditation.
