Literary Work of B. Bridel and his Point of View to Baroque Gothic
VOŠICKÁ, Andrea
This Bachelor thesis is an analysis of Fridrich Briedel{\crq}s legend Život svatého Ivana, from a baroque gothique perspective. This essay will look to define baroque gothique with respect to the historical events of that time and the creation of legends up to their publication as books. The popularity of Czech and foreign saints who emigrated and settled in our country, and the indiference shown to other foreign saints who had not been accepted and live only as foreign saints in the memory of Czech people, will also be a topic of discussion here. This paper will also discuss the term, baroque gothique, in art and architecture with a focus on the most prominent architect, Jan Blažej Sntinim-Aichel, whose work was recognized and acclaimed worldwide, especially the building reconstruction in the highlands, and which eventually led to the phrase.
