Recruiting students for International Management and analysis of demotivating factors

The aim of this thesis is to characterize the process of recruiting students for the program International Management/CEMS at the University of Economics in Prague and to analyse demotivating factors discouraging from choosing this program. The thesis consists of two main parts. The first part is theoretical and the second one is the practical part. In the theoretical part, foundations of motivation, motivation for studying, recruiting and selection of students are being explained. In the practical part, the profile of the International Management program and the way of recruiting students are firstly being outlined. This is followed by the analysis of demotivating factors, based on personal questionnaires. In conclusion, there is an evaluation of the information and the procedures for improvement are suggested.
