Measurement of illuminance distribution on roadways using the luminance analyser LDA
Cudrák, Martin ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Motyčka, Martin (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with the possibility of measuring road illuminance using the LDA luminance analyser and LumiDISP software. The theoretical part describes luminous quantities, optical properties of selected materials, especially road materials – asphalt, and normative requirements for road lighting. In the practical part, the production of measuring samples is implemented for subsequent field measurements. A series of laboratory and field measurements are carried out in the following section. Based on these measurements, the measurement method and the measurement procedure have been determined and refined. The aim of the master's thesis is to determine the measurement method, the measurement procedure and to quantify the accuracy of the illuminance measurement method using the luminance analyser LDA.
Lighting design of pizzeria
Rotrekl, Matěj ; Krbal, Michal (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
The thesis has been created and to be applied for the use of the object of Pizzeria restaurant in Moravský Písek. Within this thesis there was a literature search used focused on the lighting system design. The IT technology was used, especially the Relux and Vivaldi applications. The current condition of the lighting system in the object has been evaluated by using the manual measuring and the actual module within the Relux application. The current condition has been evaluated as truly insufficient for the kitchen related work environment. Moreover, in each room a relatively strong glare has been detected. The following step was to design a new lighting system that meets all the criteria set by Standard IEC 12464-1. The new lighting system provides visual comfort and accurate visual performance for the personnel working within this environment. The thesis also comes up with the suggestions of the dynamic lighting scenes, which have been created by using the Vivaldi application for each room. Given the parameters of the existing lighting system, the overall reconstruction of the system has been recommended. The recommended lighting system suggested in this thesis is possible to be used for such reconstruction as it meets all the parameters and criteria of the illuminance.
Reverse calculation of the luminous intensity curves of street lighting luminaires
Knápková, Dagmar ; Baxant, Petr (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the reverse calculation of luminous curves for roads according to ČSN EN 13201. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part describes the basic requirements and procedures for calculating the luminous curves. The practical part describes the program, created in the Matlab environment, which is designed for the practical calculation of the ideal luminous curve, for each situation given by the user. Further particular example of the calculation is given.
Optimisation of light conditions in buildings
Vajkay, František ; Mohelníková, Jitka (advisor)
Building physics as a branch of architecture must ensure an indoor comfort of each user and inhabitant of a building object. This involves, acoustics, indoor thermal conditions and among others also daylighting and artificial lighting of buildings. Light as a particle and an electromagnetic wave, is required by the different aspects of the human organism. It allows the living beings to see, influences skin and bones, the biorhythms, etc. Therefore, it is necessary for the engineering community to predict the correct illuminance and luminance levels acting insides. The thesis deals with such issues. More precisely, it assesses the quality of design tools and methodologies, either against CIE reference cases described in CIE 171/2006 and against real measurements done over the working plane of an indoor space located in the attic of Building D of the Institute of Building Structures, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology, too. The tools tested throughout the solution of the dissertation did involve three computer programs: RADIANCE, WDLS v3.1 and WDLS v4.1, and one numerographical approach, namely the Daniljuk’s innovated methodology (sometimes even combined with the theories of BRS). In addition several software’s have had been created alongside the process assessment, just to mention the “RADIANCE Script”, “RADIANCE Data Evaluation Script” or “MuuLUX“. The later was written as a communication software allowing the connection of the KONICA-MINOLTA T10 illuminance meter to a computer with the aim of data collection while long term observation. The solution did also require the establishment of a measuring element for the determination of the light reflectance values of surfaces. The solutions, results and conclusions do describe how well did the design approaches deal while predicting the resulting awaited daylight factor levels in points over the working plane.
Printing inks optimization for gallery dosimeters
Kabelková, Markéta ; Klusoň, Petr (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the optimization of print inks for gallery dosimeters. The experimental part deals with the preparation of a light dosimeter based on two dyes, optimizing their composition with respect to the technique of application of the layers and the sensitivity of dosimeter. The optimization was performed on dependence of pH values, dyes ratio and amount of polymer binder. The layers were applied in various ways, either with individual dyes in two layers over them, or mixing both dyes and applying one layer. The layers were prepared and then they were exposed and studied in detail for their color response to the light. The aim was to prepare a sensitive dosimeter with a clearly recognizable color change.
Evaluation of the contribution of daylight in the hybrid lighting system
Pavlík, Denis ; Krbal, Michal (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the current status of the associated lighting system in the corridor of the building Technology university of Brno Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Technic 12. The work provides the research of the lighting technologies. The second part focuses on the simulation of the associated lighting system in the computing programs Relux and Vivaldi. The evaluation of the artificial lighting system is done by hand measuring of the object and simulation of the model of the corridor in Relux. Furthermore, there is also a simulation of the associated lighting system with the contribution of daylight according to CIE for the overcast sky prepared in Relux. The simulation of the dynamic lighting scenes is adapted in Vivaldi in order to meet the criteria of standard ČSN 12464-1 for object “corridor”. The program Vivaldi put together the process of the associated lighting system in time and evaluates its economic aspects, too.
Daylighting of spaces with light guides
Machová, Petra ; Gábrová, Lenka (referee) ; Vajkay, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with the illuminance space through light guide. It describes it's basic principles, technical features and ways of differentiation between the technologies. The thesis also includes latest methods for evaluation of illumination of space supported by various computer simulations.
Measurement of operating room lights quality
Rovná, Tereza ; Potočňák, Tomáš (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on measuring the quality of lighting in operating rooms. Operating lights are very demanding in terms of quality requirements for each parameter, so it is important to specify exactly these parameters and check them regurarly. To measure the quality of the light source, was used a special kit from Maquet. Measurement procedure was not as accurate as it was for operating lighting need, therefore, this work includes a proposal to improve the measurement of quality lighting in operating theaters. In cooperation with University Hospital Brno Bohunice University Hospital Motol and the company Maquet measured nine operating lights, each light were compared in terms of parameters such as maximum light intensity, light distribution in the surgical field. In each category were selected several lighting, which reached the best results. The various parameters were compared with values declared by the manufacturer.

The Comparison Of Light Bulbs’ Price And Properties
Růžičková, Veronika
My project deals with bulbs as a type of artificial lightning. It follows up on comparison of incandescent, LED, CFL and halogen bulbs in several aspects: illuminance and luminosity, luminous efficiency, quotient of illuminance and power input, light cone’s shape, speed of stabilisation into full power, the electricity loss and most importantly the price of their usage. Luminosity of three different colors of LED 6W bulbs (of same distributor and type) was added as a bonus.
