The author of this thesis deals with the phenomenon of writing women and comparison of three literary works written by three different female German authors. The love story of two young couple and the political ideologies of Germany at that time depicts the book Der geteilte Himmel by Christa Wolf. The next author is Ulla Hahn and her novel called Aufbruch, which is the second part of the trilogy. This novel describes the life and development of the heroin called Hilla and alongside it consults the soul of brave but vulnerable teenage girl. Judith Hermann is the third author whose work consists of five short stories called Alice. This collection deals with topics such as the concept of life and death, along with helplessness and abandonment of one's closes people. Furthermore the impact of political systems on individual authors will be described in this thesis as well.
