Solar charge controllers for off-grid systems
KRČKA, Pavel
This diploma thesis deals with photovoltaic rechargable regulators used in isolated, or off-grid photovoltaic systems. First, basic types of off-grid installations, including their functions and applications in practice are described. Then, possibilities of electric energy accumulation in photovoltaic systems are mentioned, considering actual, accesible technologies. Matters of electric energy accumulation in leaden accumulators are examined in detail. Main part of the diploma thesis is about electronic designs of photovoltaic, also called solar, rechargable regulators. These are the main connecting part between photovoltaic panels, accumulator, but also often connected charge, which is appliance. Individual electronic regulators concepts are described narrowly, then compared and evaluated in thesis´ conclusion.
The apparatus for measuring optimal inclination of photovoltaic panels
KRČKA, Pavel
This Bachelor Thesis deals with the topic of transfer of solar radiation into electric energy in photovoltaic systems. At the beginning the problems of mining and combustion of fossil fuel are highlighted. After that the dispositions (possibilities) of the solar radiation that might be effectively used in photovoltaic systems are described. There is also the photoelectric effect, on which the function of various photovoltaic cell types representing the basic constructional elements of each photovoltaic panel described here in detail. The main part of the text is then focused on development of a tool capable of measuring the optimum angle and position of photovoltaic panels, at which the photovoltaic panels should have the maximum energetic yield during a day in a specific season of a year.
Energy use of phytomass in the South Bohemia Region
NEJEDLÁ, Alice
This bachelor thesis focuses on energetic use of phytomass in the Southern Bohemia. There was identified real and potential production of biomass in the Czech Republic and in the Southern Bohemia. According to the information acquired from literature, internet and questionnairy research there was identified volume of use of energetic sources and biomass deliberately cultivated in Southern Bohemia for energetic use. The results of this research show that Czech Republic meets the commitment to cover 6% of energetic consumption by renewable energy source ? it even reached 8%. Southern Bohemia produces 4,5% of all renewable energy sources of the Czech republic. The research shows that there is a lack of biomass in the Czech Republic, that is why it must be produced by growing energy crops (PEP) and fast growing woods (RRD). Energy crops produces in the Czech Republic are: Sorrel Feed, Miscanthus Chinese, Knotweed, Reed Canary Grass, Hemp, Sorghum. As fast growing woods there are willows and poplars recommended. The most of the renewable energy sources in Southern Bohemia is represented by biomass and its combustion. Its potential is huge, mostly the waste of wood processing ? sawdust and wooden chips, is the most used fuel. Energetic use of biomass has a good perspective in Southern Bohemia. There is still unused waste from logging and straw in agricultural production. There is still hidden potential in growing energy crops and fast growing woods. The development is defended especially by economic reasons and state financial support.
Photovoltaic Elements used in the Solar Energy and Testing of their Parameters
KUTTA, Jiří
Renewable sources of electric energy are currently being used. In the Czech Republic solar energy is especially used. This thesis contains theoretical description of physical principal, description of used photovoltaic modules and categorizing of modules according to applied production technology, description of measurements and measuring parameters of applied modules used in electric power production.
Production and sources of electrical energy
NERUDA, Jan
This thesis deals with possibilities of electric power generation by using different energetic sources. I focus in detail on heat power plants, nuclear power plants, hydraulic power plants, wind power plants and solar energy power plants, where I describe the principle of electric power generation, possibilities of their utilization and their advantages and disadvantages. Then I compare these plants from different aspects. I also made measurements with the barrier-level photocell, by which I wanted to find out the dependence of produced voltage on the barrier-level photocell displacement to the light source.
