Pro and con acceptance Euro - application on the Czech Republic

The aim of this work is to appraise advantages and disadvantages of accepting EURO, in Czech Republic, which has already taken steps in order to join the EMU. The first part focus on the establishment and development of the EMU and about requirements, which have to be fulfilled by the countries, which are supposed to become members of the EMU. Afterwards, I would like to speak about pros and cons associated with this membership and consequently, I will analyse consequences caused by acceptance of a single currency. With regard to previous theory and experience of the EMU members, the second part is adressed to the Czech Republic. Except from analysis of current economic factors, which are important when talking about accepting the EURO, I will mention opinions and positions of the leaders of the main political parties and alternative institutions. Then, I will compare the Czech Republic with other countries, that are adepts for accepting common currency. Finally, I will put together the benefits and costs associated with single currency and I will make adequate conclusions on the basis of previous analysis.

Uplatnění slev u daně z příjmu fyzických osob v nových členských státech EU

Práce je zaměřena na uplatňování slev na dani z příjmu fyzických osob u nově přistoupivších států Evropské unie. Najdeme zde obecné vysvětlení rozdílu mezi uplatňováním odpočtu od uplatňování slevy na dani společně s vysvětlením dané problematiky na názorných příkladech. Dále se práce zabývá konkrétními možnostmi uplatnění slev u daně z příjmu fyzických osob u nově přistupujících států EU. V závěru najdeme tabulky s procentním vyjádřením jednotlivých uplatnitelných slev vztažených k průměrné mzdě pro jednotlivé státy.

Gambling industry in CR - history, legislature, internet gambling

Gambling is very controversial theme. There are many reasons, why this business is so controversial,for example : huge amount of money, chance for money laundering, chance for winning money. Gambling is wagering money on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning additional money. Purpose of my diploma work is a comparison situation of gamling industry in Czech republic and in the rest of the world. My diploma work has many parts.In the first one I describe the history of regulation in the United States and then I show economic dates from presents: casino locations by category, casinos per state, commercial casino tax revenue by state and national commercial casino revenue. Next I explain a special american category of casino and it is tribal casino and than I show tribal gaming revenues by region. In the next part I describe the history of gambling in the Czechoslovakia and contemporary situation in Czech republic, especially the situation in internet gambling. Internet gambling is the transformation of casino games of chance and skill to the internet. In the Czech republic is an unsatisfactory legal regualtions, because there is a obsolete rule. Therefore domestic operators can not obtain a licence for offering online gambling services to Czech residents, whereas foreign operators offers these services, but illegal. Therefore is necessary to create a new rule, which will be able to change this unsatisfactory situation. In the next part I write about three big cases, which are important for situation in european gambling industry. European commission and European court of justice have both a big influence and I describe, what they do for better situation in european gambling, because some states ( for example Germany ) prohibit internet gambling on their own territory, but this is problem, because this rule is in discrepancy with law of European union. In Czech republic is internet gambling for foreign company prohibited too and I explain, what is the reason for this situation. This diploma work contains my own research, how works telephone and internet gambling.

International survey of state and reforms in health insurance system in member states of the European Union

This bachelor work observes present international survey of state and reforms in health insurance system in member states of the European Union. The work deals with current situation of sickness pay, maternity pay, paternity pay and financial support for caring of family member in member states of the European Union. There are introduced conditions for claim on payment, amount of payment, duration of supporting and waiting period. This is elaborated from views of employees and employers. Bigger attention is aimed for conditions in the Czech Republic a comparison with states of the European Union. I used analysis and comparison during working on this work. In conclusion, there will be showed which international experience would be appropriate to use for reform of healthy insurance in the Czech Republic.

Švýcarsko a jeho postavení v Evropě

The thesis describes a short historical and economical development in Switzerland. It tries to find the reasons of its neutrality and why this state still stands out of the rest of Europe. It also compares the state economical situation on the basis of the macroeconomical indicators with the leaders of the EU: Italy, Germany and France and tries to consider if the entrance in the EU would be for the Swiss profitable.

Systémové změny české zahraniční politiky v souvislosti se vstupem do EU (od vzniku ČR do r. 2006)

Vstupem do Evropské unie se zásadním způsobem změnily podmínky pro výkon české zahraniční politiky vyplývající z přenesení suverenity na unijní úroveň. Doposud záležitosti převážně vnitrostátní se staly předmětem zahraniční politiky a společného rozhodování členských států EU. Práce se zaměřuje na systémové změny pohledu na zahraniční politiku a důvody pro její rozdělení na Unijní a vněunijní, změny při realizaci zahraniční politiky z hlediska jejích aktérů, prostředků a priorit, a to jak na úrovni vnitrostátní, tak unijní a zabývá se možnostmi hodnocení působení unijních aktérů jako součásti české zahraniční politiky.

Budoucnost biopaliv v evropském palivoenergetickém řetězci

Tato práce se zabývá zaváděním biosložek do pohonných hmot v Evropské Unii a dopadem této činnosti na životní prostředí a ekonomiku států. Jedná se o snahu redukovat závislost na ropě, jejíž zásoby se dle odborníků snižují a taktéž o snahu omezit produkci emisí z automobilové dopravy, zejména skleníkových plynů, jež se nemalou měrou podílejí na klimatických změnách. Nárůst spotřeby ropy a produkce emisí během posledního století je vysoký a způsoben především zvyšujícím se počtem automobilů, který je ovlivněn mimo jiné, vyšší životní úrovní obyvatel Evropy. Cílem této práce je srovnat mezi sebou ideu Evropské unie o přechodu na biopaliva a zprávy světových organizací, které tento postup kritizují. Dalším cílem práce bude snaha zjistit, zda vůbec, a za jakých podmínek, a v jakém množství je zavádění biosložek výhodné a ekonomicky efektivní, vzhledem k nákladům na výrobu směsného paliva a nákladům na zavedení opatření včetně dopadu na státní rozpočet.

Postoj Rakouska k rozšíření Evropské unie o Turecko

Tato práce pojednává o postoji Rakouska k rozšíření Evropské unie o Turecko. Rakousko patří v rámci Evropské unie k euroskeptickým zemím, což se odráží i v postoji k dalšímu rozšiřování. Zejména negativně se Rakousko staví k rozšíření Evropské unie o Turecko. Tento negativní vztah je dán jednak historickými vztahy mezi oběma zeměmi, negativními zkušenostmi s tureckou menšinou v Rakousku a charakterem volebních kampaní rakouských politických stran.

Judikatura Evropského soudního dvora v oblasti přímých daní a její vliv na legislativu ve vybraných členských státech

Vytvoření jednotného vnitřního trhu je jedním z hlavních cílů Evropské unie. Daně a tedy i přímé daně mohou vytvářet překážky fungování jednotného trhu a mohou být diskriminační. Proto je nutná jejich harmonizace. U přímých daní hovoříme o negativní harmonizaci založené na odstraňování diskriminačních opatření pomocí rozsudků Evropského soudního dvora. Práce popisuje postavení ESD, způsob jeho rozhodování a dopad jeho rozsudků z oblasti přímých daní na členské státy. Klade si za cíl ověřit základní tezi, že soudy členských států a následně i zákonodárná moc zohledňují při své činnosti v oblasti přímých daní judikaturu ESD.
