Present Trade Policy of the European Union

The purpose of my bachelor's thesis is to appraise and describe present trade policy (PTP) of the European Union. Moreover there are cleared up all the principles of operating of institutions, rules and regulations that are part of the PTP. The first charter is about history of European Community and other institutions which are connected to PTP. The second charter is describing in detail intra-EU trade and four fundamental freedoms that form the trade. These freedoms are: free movement of goods, services, persons and capital. The third charter is occupied with business relations with third countries and preferential agreements concluded with them. The last chapter is about Czech Republic and changes which are connected to EU accession and PTP. Conclusion contains all the information and facts, which are summarized and described the consequences of the present trade policy.
The Institutions of the European Union - the present and prospects

The goal of my work is to introduce and evaluate the main institutions of the EU. To highlight and clarify the main problems and try to estimate the possible future developement of this institution. The content of the first chapter is the history of European Union. Afterwards I am occupied with member countries, candidate countries and potential candidate countries of the EU. In the third chapter I describe the function, composition and the method of election to the European parliament and voting within the European commission. In the fourth chapter I point out the important points of the Treaty of Lisbon and the Europe 2020 Strategy. In the fifth chapter I focus on the great problematical integration projects: the currency of EU and the Schengen Area. In the prenultimate chapter I analyse the fundamental problems of the European Union: unemployment and democratic deficit. On the base of mentioned chapters I estimated the future of the European Union.

This masters's thesis deals with the characterisation of the concept of corporate social responsibility, aiming its attention on its limits and opportunities within the European Union. First part of the thesis focuses on the charactistics of the theoretical concepts and approaches to corporate responsibility, entrepreneurship and businesses, while second part adresses the possibilities of international and european support and control of business activities, especially of the european institutions and other initiatives within the european context
Coordination of Economic Policies of EU Focusing on The Visegrad Group Countries

This thesis examines the process of coordination of economic policies of the European Union on the example of the Visegrad countries. The introductory chapter describes the development of the economic policy coordination, discusses the key legal documents that most affected the process of coordination, and assesses the importance of the coordination for the European integration . The second chapter focuses on the latest changes in the legislation relating to the coordination of economic policies. The last chapter describes the influence of the most essential tools for coordinating the countries of the Visegrad Group. Assesses the extent differences involvement Slovakia coordination process, as the only state that groups that have adopted the euro . Assesses the impact of the crisis on developing coordination and lightly touching the issue of the future adoption of the euro in the countries of the Visegrad Group, which still use the national currency.
Competitiveness of the EU from the viewpoint of the member states

This thesis focuses on the contribution of the member states to competitiveness and the contribution of the Lisbon strategy and the Europe 2020 strategy to this topic. The first chapter deals with the definition of competitiveness and with detailed measurement according to the World Economic Forum. In the second chapter, individual member countries in terms of competitiveness and the impact of the Lisbon strategy on the competitiveness of the EU are discussed. The last chapter outlines the concept of the Europe 2020 strategy and the current fulfillment of its goals.
Comparisson of legal frameworks for cohesion policy within the current and next programming period

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide the reader with basics of the legislative framework of the cohesion policy of the European union within the current programming period 2007-2014. The emphasis is put on the implementation of the cohesion policy on the national level. The thesis should acquaint the reader with bodies and procedures, which have been set by the Comission towards transparent execution of the policy. The second part of this thesis deals with the main differences and changes the Comission proposed in proposals of the Cohesion policy regulations. Finally, the last part deals with the revenue-generating projects and will define the main changes in the methodology. For purposes of this thesis was chosen the priority axis "The Improvement of Water Management Infrastructure and Reduction of Flood Risks".
Competitiveness of Czech industry in EU

Czech Republic has been always traditional industrial country and the importance of its industry will not diminish, even in spite of the growing share of services on GDP. The goal of this thesis is therefore to analyze strong and weak points of Czech manufacturing and its particular sectors. Measuring various indicators of macroeconomic competitiveness, the results for the Czech Republic have revealed relatively low labour costs, at least in comparison with the EU average, but this comparative advantage can be depleted over time. The challenge for the Czech manufacturing is thus to pass over to upper levels of production with higher margins and higher value added. The thesis is also dealing with different points of view on the topic of industrial policy and the role of government in this policy. The thesis introduces two strategical documents as well, Europe 2020 strategy published by the European Commission and Back on Top strategy published by Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Competitiveness Policy of the EU: from Lisbon Strategy to Europe 2020

The thesis focuses on analysis of competitiveness policy of the European Union. The aim of the thesis is to define the competitiveness policy represented by long-term growth strategies: Lisbon strategy and later Europe 2020, to analyze shift in perception of the competitiveness from the beginning of this century till nowadays concerning the changes of both economic environment and the European Union. First part defines theoretical approaches to competitiveness including "European model". Second part deals with the analysis of the economic situation and identifies main challenges for the EU. Third part compares Lisbon strategy with Europe 2020. Finally, the Europe 2020 strategy is critically evaluated.
Competitiveness of France in the context of its membership in the EU

This bachelor thesis deals with an issue of competitiveness of France. The first chapter deals with a general definition of competitiveness and the Lisbon Strategy implemented in 2000 by EU and a new document Europe 2020. In the second chapter, there is a basic characteristics of the French economy. The last chapter attends to the reforms and laws recently adopted by French government to improve the competitiveness of the country.
