Analysis of the Costs Spent for Patent Protection in Selected Countries
KOROL, Vladimír
The thesis focuses on comparation of patent application costs in several countries. It deals with submission of the application form and necessary documents for application, e.g. description of the invention, drawings, patent claims and others. The thesis also focuses on the procedure of patent granting, its costs and duration. The text informs if those costs can somehow limit an applicant and shows that in case of any limitation the applicant can draw money from various grants mentioned in the thesis. The applicant decides whether he logs his invention in a single country through a national application form, or if he does so in other states according to options of European patent or international application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The work analyses every single form of application costs in selected countries. It also considers economic performance and purchasing power of every country and it's mutual comparison.
