Polymers based on epoxydized oils
Zálešáková, Romana ; Tocháček, Jiří (referee) ; Přikryl, Radek (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is study of materials based on epoxidized vegetables oils, production of test specimens of selected matrix and assessment of its mechanical and thermal properties. The theoretical part deals with epoxy resins, their structure and curing. Then it deals with general description of vegetable oils and their epoxidization. Experimental part describes curing of epoxy resin by hardeners, based on carboxylic acid anhydrides. Curing epoxidized soybean oil was tested with different anhydride hardeners and curing the mixture with commercial epoxy system. Test specimens were prepared from selected mixtures. Specimens were studied by tensile, bending and impact test, TGA and DMA.
Pultrusion process optimizing of composites based on epoxy matrix
Ostrezi, Jan ; Bábík, Adam (referee) ; Přikryl, Radek (advisor)
The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis deals with current progress in the field of long fibre reinforenced composites with matrix based on epoxy resins. It also deals with production methods of composite materials, especially pultrusion. The practical part is based on pultrusion process optimizing of composites profiles based on epoxy matrix. Profiles were examined by DMA test to set the glass transition temperature.
Study of properties of nanocomposites
Hudec, Jiří ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
This masters’s thesis study electric properties of nanocomposites based on epoxy resins, production of samples and measuring their electrical properties. In this thesis there are observed temperature dependences of the dissipation factor, relative permittivity and internal resistivity.
Epoxy resins exposure under severe climatic conditions
Hanačík, Radim ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
This thesis describes the effects of climatic factors, particularly humidity and temperature on the properties of macromolecular substances, but also others, such as UV radiation, wind, water and oxygen. Furthermore, we introduce the definition and distribution of macromolecular substances. The next section describes the basic properties of dielectric materials. Much of the text is devoted to the description, production, curing, properties and utilization of epoxy resins. The last part deals with climate factors in general terms.
Plasmochemical treatment of natural fibres
Demková, Eva ; Mazánková, Věra (referee) ; Přikryl, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on plasmochemical surface treatment of natural flax fibres using dielectric barrier discharge and silane coupling agent. Treated fibres were used as reinforcement of composite material with an epoxy matrix. Composite materials were prepared manually, by placing saturated fibres into silicone mold. Mechanical properties of composite materials were determined by bending test, tensile test and dynamic-mechanical analysis (DMA). The presence of a silane coupling agent on the surface of the fibre was detected by EDS analysis. SEM method was also used to determine the effect of plasma on the surface of fibres.
Design of vapor proof protective coating for concrete with chemical resistance
Fousková, Marika ; Hodná, Jana (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The main content of the bachelor's thesis is to design a vapor-tight chemically resistant coating using secondary raw materials. Coatings are applied primarily for the purpose of protecting concrete structures that are exposed to chemical stress. Secondary raw materials are used in the coating in the form of a microfiller, which is evenly dispersed in the polymer matrix. The proposed coatings show high adhesion to concrete, excellent workability and applicability, while the filler in the form of secondary raw materials does not impair the properties of the coating, both in fresh and polymerized state.
DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIAL REHABILITATION MATERIALS FOR CONCRETE FOR EXTREME STRESS WITH USE OF SECONDARY RAW MATERIALS
Hodul, Jakub ; Klečka,, Tomáš (referee) ; Ďurica,, Tibor (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The doctoral thesis deals with finding the use of some waste and secondary raw materials in the production of special polymer remediation materials for concrete, which could be applied even in constructions, where extreme mechanical and chemical load is occurred. The aim of this doctoral thesis is experimental examination of the possibility of using selected types of waste, including hazardous waste which represent the highest risk to environment, and secondary raw materials as a substitute for the currently used primary fillers in order to reduce the ecological footprint of the product itself. Some types of secondary raw materials, such as filter fly ash contaminated by flue gas denitrification process, are no longer used as a concrete admixture or partial cement substitution due to unwanted release of toxic ammonia (NH3). Mainly for this reason, the thesis deals with the progressive utilization of such types of secondary raw materials as well as with another currently unused waste into polymeric patching, grouting and anchoring materials while preserving or improving the final properties compared to reference materials using only primary raw materials. The result of this thesis is to find out suitable formulations for efficient preparation of special polymeric remediation materials for concrete containing waste and secondary raw materials as fillers. The partial aim of the thesis and a the scientific contribution is an observation of the developed materials internal structure using a modern device, CT tomography, an influence of the filler type on the long-term durability, and last but not least the observation of the rate of pollutants incorporation, found in hazardous waste, into the polymeric matric with the aid of EDX and FTIR analysis.
Design of grout joint for chemical exposure using secondary raw materials
Matušková, Veronika ; Hodná, Jana (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is the design of a high-quality polymeric grout joint using secondary raw materials and hazardous waste for increased chemical exposure. The main use assumed of the proposed grout joint is grouting of the cast basalt elements in building objects that are systematically exposure due to the highly aggressive chemical load. The use of input materials produced by progressive technologies should be another benefit of this grout joint to enhance the ecological aspects of the grout joint production.
Crystallization of coating systems based on epoxy resins.
Seidlová, Michaela ; Dohnálek,, Pavel (referee) ; Petránek, Vít (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (advisor)
Crystallisation of epoxy resins based on bisphenol A and bisphenol F is the natural property of these oligomers. However, manufacturers of paints and other systems based on these epoxy resins, strive to slow down the crystallisation process as much as possible, thereby prolonging the shelf life and improving the competitiveness of their products. The main aim of the thesis is generalisation of the factors influencing the crystallisation process of epoxy resins based on bisphenol A and bisphenol F, verifying new approaches to the possibility of influencing the crystallisation process and determining the possibility of using a certain degree of epoxy resins crystallinity based on bisphenol A and bisphenol F in the preparation and production of epoxy resinbased coating systems.
Additives effect on electrical properties of the epoxy resins
Šebesta, Petr ; Kazelle, Jiří (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
Work was carried out in collaboration with SYNPO, Inc. Pardubice, which provided samples resins with various additives for measurement. The work is divided into three theoretical and one practical chapters. The first chapter focuses on dielectrics in general. It deals with their properties and storyline running in them. The second chapter discusses epoxy resins, their formulation, production and application in manufacturing. The third chapter offers a view of the measurement methods used for diagnosing electrical dielectrics. The practical part describes the preparation of samples and their composition, and consequently their measurement with the evaluation of measurement data.
