Master’s thesis deals with Service Desk application effectiveness assessment and proposal for its modification. This proposal will increase application’s effectiveness of suported processes. New version of application will be adapted to ITIL v3. The proposal for modification is created by adapted models of enterprise architecture. The thesis contains analysis of current version of application, which is an input for proposal of modification.
Tool for Shared Documentation Within the Business Analysis Team
Husár, Michal ; Ruprecht, Marek (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on analysis of documentation method in business analysis team in chosen company. Based on this analysis it proposes elimination of identified weaknesses and risks by creating a tool for shared documentation in form of business architecture model and definitions of processes which will allow to build and maintain proposed method of documentation.
Development of front-end applications
Machynka, Jan ; Souček, Martin (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jan (referee)
The diploma thesis on Development of Front-end Applications focuses on the design of computerization of enterprise processes covered by a unified front-end application. Exploratory research was used to suggest working methods to solve technological growth of the enterprise and how to evaluate business need of a front-end application. Later chapters present basic summary of development methodology used for automation of business processes. The diploma thesis innovatively proposes a role of a front-end specialist who does not need to create a program code and has closer relation to business departments. There are recommend analytical standards and development tools for automation of business processes as well as front-end implementation. Finally the work attaches a model example demonstrating relative simplicity and practical realization of new techniques for front-end application development. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Process based enterprise architecture
Michálková, Aneta ; Alexa, Štěpán (advisor) ; Potančok, Martin (referee)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is Process Based Enterprise Architecture. In order to explain the given issue, there is an explanation of the Enterprise architecture, business process management and the relation between them. The practical part follows the theory written in the first part in order to present both of approaches in a real company. That includes models reflecting current situation, some of which are enriched by the author's recommended modifications.
Přínosy a Výzvy Použití Podnikové Architektury v Organizacích
Mansurova, Dinara ; Šebesta, Michal (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with the topic of benefits and challenges of Enterprise Architecture (EA) use in organizations. The main objective of this thesis is the critical analysis of EA potential use in sample organization by examining its benefits and challenges, which results in form of recommendations necessary for efficient management of the organization using EA. Firstly, the thesis introduces the topic of EA along with its core concepts and principles. Then, the author discusses main drivers for EA and its typical application. Perceived in the field of EA benefits and challenges are identified and classified. The result is then confronted with a practical case study, which describes EA application in a sample organization. The author conducts the experimental EA initiative in that organization, by modeling current state (as-is) and potential solution architectures. The main deliverable of this initiative for the organization is the critical analysis of potential EA use within the organization with the identification of its added value and challenges. The findings are then summarized in form of recommendations for the future development of information systems of the organization.

Outsourcing and its impacts on company through Enterprise architecture
Štěpán, Jakub ; Šebesta, Michal (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
This final thesis is dealing with the theme of outsourcing and its influence on company in connection with enterprise architecture as the main carrier of ongoing changes. Main focus of this thesis is to provide the overview of the area of Enterprise architecture and outsourcing as well as the description of the selected notation of Enterprise architecture modeling, which will be main instrument in describing the transformation. Theoretical part of the work is divided into three parts. Firstly there is description of the enterprise architecture and chosen connected areas, followed by description of the outsourcing process and description of the modeling language ArchiMate. Practical part of the work is composed of analysis, description and evaluation of the transformation of the selected company. Among the main contribution of this thesis there is description of the changes during the transformation using the ArchiMate modeling language and identifying of concrete impacts of outsourcing on Enterprise architecture of the company.
Creation of the Enterprise Architecture model according to the TOGAF framework
Čapek, Jan ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Zeman, Petr (referee)
The present diploma thesis aims at introducing the Enterprise Architecture and creating an abstract model of a company. The primary focus is on application and process layers as defined in the architecture framework TOGAF. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical chapter starts with a business model analysis which means to describe mission vision and companys values as a part of the strategy framework. Furthermore the business processes are described in the latter part of this section. This chapter attempts to explain how to map a business process and to categorize it by nature and maturity level. Penultimate chapter introduces the Enterprise Architecture in general. This section includes arguments as to why the companies should be concerned with the Enterprise Architecture advantages of the Enterprise Architecture implementation into the companys documentation relationship of companys core business and IT and examples of the Enterprise Architecture frameworks. The last chapter deals with the TOGAF framework where Architecture Development Method is described. This means how Enterprise Architecture model is created and how to implement changes into the layers according to the TOGAF framework. Simultaneously the last section of this chapter describes the reference models which provide graphical overview of all abstractions layers. The practical part of the thesis elaborates on the theoretical part using the Architecture Development Method process in order to create the Enterprise Architecture model according to TOGAF framework. Same as the theoretical part it only focuses on the application and process layer. Firstly the business model is decomposed into vision mission and companys values to the companys strategy and business goals in order to grasp further understanding of business processes detailed description. Subsequently the abovementioned aspects are recomposed to create process map which provides the management overview. The application layer undergoes the same process; nonetheless the process map is replaced by information system description and reference model creation. Once the models are created the thesis compares them with the business and strategic goals. The benefit brought by this thesis is critical evaluation of current status to propose changes to achieve target architacture according business and strategic goals established by management.
