Emma Urbánková and her importance for the Czech bibliology

(English) The bachelor thesis deals with a prominent personality of the Czechoslovakian bibliology, Dr. Emma Urbanková (1902-1992). It focuses not only on her career and work, but also on the Department of Manuscripts in today's National Library of the Czech Republic during her time in this institution. The main part of the thesis is Emma Urbánková's professional curriculum and an overview of her works, including the context of the evaluation of her work within the Czech bibliology. The aim of the work is to present Emma Urbánková's professional life and work. As a method, I will use search in biographical literature, published memoirs, her own published works as well as archival material (material from her estate and annual reports of today's National Library).
